To cancel your subscription, you generally have to call in so they can talk you into staying. I was paying $20.xx a month for Sirius and I definitely was not getting my money's worth so I went online to cancel. When I clicked on the link to cancel, it offered me a six-month contract for approximately $25, so I took that and stayed subscribed. After six months, if I can get it for that rate, I will keep it.
I have heard that recently on the Bridge also. They must have recently added it to that station's playlist. They used to play several Linda songs that I no longer hear.
It would be good to hear Blue Bayou on the '70s station. I've never heard it there. Or any of her '80s hits on the '80s channel.
In the case of the murder, she was wondering if Brad did it. In fact, Brad did do it, indirectly, by hiring a hit man.
She worries about Lopez, and with good reason. Lourdes Lopez, the county prosecutor, allegedly knew about the plot to kill the doctor and did not notify authorities.
I get that Anne has a child who takes ballet classes. She is divorced and has money problems. She does work for the ballet in exchange for free or reduced price ballet lessons. But unclear how Linda Ronstadt figures in this.
But she has a guest house. I wish I had one. She has $200 in the bank and maybe getting paid tomorrow. I'm glad when I have a bad day it doesn't get exploited in the media and then drug up 15 years later on a fan website.
I don't think this has ever been on the forum. Going through some more boxes today and found this article.
I really can't see the importance of this article that appeared on Tucson Weekly online. It's more like a diary or journal entry. Apparently Ms. Elsberry was having a bad day because she felt her work for the Tucson Ballet was not appreciated as much as Linda Ronstadt so we got this public snit fit. Maybe not her fault it's public. It says it was an interoffice email so how did it end up in the media. (When I was in government, I would never have sent anything like this in email.)

I haven't watched Part 2 yet. My best takeaway from Part 1 was that I have misunderstood the song California Dreaming all my life. "I'd be safe and warm if I was in L.A." In my mind, I always pictured someone in cold Northern California wishing to be in L.A. but the documentary makes it very clear it was written from the perspective of a New Yorker.
I don't think it was the first PPV movie, but it was the first to debut on Pay Per View and in theaters on the same day. Therefore, most theater chains, maybe all of them, boycotted the movie. I don't think it ever showed in a single theater here in the Republic of South Carolina.
I emailed PBS SoCal and told them the concert they aired had several songs missing, including for example "Look Out for My Love" and asked if the download was the full concert or just what we saw on the air. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the information but here is the response I got:
Hello Tony,
We do apologize for the delay in this response. The video download is of the full concert. Please see the details below.
This PBS Exclusive keepsake Linda Ronstadt Lanyard includes a digital download code for an Video file of the Linda Ronstadt: Live in Hollywood Concert performed April 24, 1980.
I am not familiar with the Lynx browser, but I think it is a text-based browser. As such, it is probably not ideal for browsing the Linda Ronstadt Homepage, which is more visual. Even magazine and newspaper articles are more often presented as images, so the text of the articles won't show up in a text browser.
I don't have a problem with the question. You can move it to the General Discussion area if you prefer.
There is a reason that the Skeeter Davis Homepage (and the Kinky info) is connected to the Linda Ronstadt page. By doing it this way, I can have a Skeeter Davis page without having to pay for a separate domain name.
If you bookmark the Linda Ronstadt Homepage, the bookmark should take you to the main page of the site.
If you go to the homepage, you will notice a star to the right. If you click on that star, it will take you to a Kinky Friedman page I have worked on.
The purpose of this star is to trick the robots that crawl the internet for search engines to map this new material. I used it in the past to link to my Skeeter Davis page: www.ronstadt-linda.com/skeeterdavis
I can't for the life of me remember any other artist who had that many credits on recordings by other artists.
Linda's session work is impressive in quantity but it pales in comparison to Emmylou Harris. There used to be a website emmylou.net that listed all her background and harmony work but I think it has been replaced by an official website.
Sent by Royal Mail, the magazine arrived today. Besides Linda, there were features on Bill Withers, Talking Heads, Tiny Tim, T Rex. I have to say I've never heard of any of the artists on the CD that is included but I will give it a listen.
Well, as a professional musician, I would expect Linda to get paid, just like the guitar player or the percussionist who hit that perfect note on the triangle. Of course I wouldn't expect her to try to extort the highest price but she should at least get the union scale for showing up and getting the job done.
I've got a RIAA gold record award for Blue Bayou but I doubt there is any actual gold. I think I have a gold vinyl record by Linda ("The Southern Belle") but it was not especially impressive looking. At this price, I hope the Get Closer release sparkles and shines.
180 gram gold vinyl- 180 grams of vinyl- 0 grams of gold I would say.

It has been a while since I've been to Barnes and Noble but they used to carry MOJO Magazine and probably still do. Back when I used to be a big magazine buyer.
If you like to read magazines, it is a good value for $9.99 per month. At this time, it includes 315 magazines. It used to be only about 100. Of course not all of them are going to interest you. But I used to subscribe to about a dozen print magazines-- now I subscribe to none. I don't understand why it is to the magazine publishers advantage to have them included with this app.
I have read the Mojo interview and it was very good. Not just the same old same old pat answers that Linda likes to give. Well maybe a few.
The copy I ordered has not arrived yet, but if you have the Apple News+ app, which at my last count includes subscriptions to 315 magazines, MOJO is one of the included magazines. The latest issue of MOJO popped into the app just as I was preparing for slumbertime, so I had to read through the interview.
