I haven't listened to the radio much but I did hear Dwight play another Ronstadt song. This time it was I Still Miss Someone. In one week, I have heard album cuts from 6 different Ronstadt albums on his station. Also I have heard many old songs for the first time. He seems to like many of my favorite singers from the past, Rick Nelson, Wanda Jackson. I am surprised I have not heard Jann Browne yet.

Are you referring to Dwight Yoakam, Boss? eddiejinnj

Yes, Dwight Yoakam. I ventured out in my car twice today and both times I heard a Ronstadt song. Tumbling Dice this morning and Love is a Rose this afternoon.
I discovered this channel by accident but it has been on Sirius for more than three years. A friend called me and wanted to know of any receivers that could get all Sirius stations. I told him I thought my receiver could do that although I have never used the feature. So I activated it with my Sirius user name and password and discovered the Bakersfield Beat channel 349, which may be the station on which you're most likely to hear Linda Ronstadt. I don't know about the easy listening stations and love song stations because I never listen to them.

It appears I am the only one hearing any Linda Ronstadt music on any radio. I rarely even hear her in the grocery anymore.
Here is what I have heard on Sirius in the last few days:
Desperado * Gold Watch and Chain Tumbling Dice I Ain't Always Been Faithful Silver Threads and Golden Needles ('73) After the Gold Rush ('95) * Heart of Gold When Will I Be Loved

I am very happy that you are hearing so much Linda. IAABF is one song that if I hear it, it just plays and plays in my head. Thus, if not in a crowd amongst strangers, I sing all with the lyrics in my head. Have a great, safe weekend, all !!!! eddiejinnj

Holly meant that you could do a forum search to answer your question as far as a recorded version being on the forum. eddiejinnj

Nice to know that they're doing something big for their Hometown Heroine on her 75th.

The KXCI tribute to Linda Ronstadt is, I think, the best tribute I have ever heard. They covered her entire career, big hits plus essential album cuts, guest appearances, live performances. I listened for a couple of hours. They also had Linda on the phone for an interview, which I recorded and can share later, although it is probably on the station's website. They even played her duet with Homer Simpson, Funny How Time Slips Away. Going around the radio dial for just about 15 minutes, I also heard these songs today: Heat Wave (WYEP-FM) Silver Threads and Golden Needles (WLNG) Tumbling Dice (107.2-FM, Ripley, UK) And I recently heard You're No Good on Sirius '70s Channel. And I have been listening to that Dwight Yoakam station in the background when I'm on the computer. They have played the following tracks since I last checked in: Willin' I Still Miss Someone Silver Threads and Golden Needles Back in the U.S.A. When Will I Be Loved Mental Revenge You're No Good * In My Hour of Darkness I Fall to Pieces Rock Me on the Water Tumbling DiceDwight also had Rita Wilson as a guest but I only heard part of the broadcast. Rita was speaking of Linda as an influence but I don't know which songs they chose to play.

Good selection & including Linda singing harmonies.
I agree "Moon Is A Harsh Mistress" & "Hobo's Meditation" should have been included.
Not enough Nelson Riddle tracks!

I listened to a fair amount of the KXCI tribute via the Internet, but I was out of the house for the evening at the Hollywood Bowl.
Of course, no L.A. radio station bothered playing anything of hers; in fact, unless Rick can come up with some evidence otherwise, no radio station around here even bothered to mention that she was turning 75.

Linda Ronstadt was trending most of yesterday on Twitter. Whatever that means. Heard two(2) shout outs on the Radio 📻 including You're No Good in Hudson Valley.

I heard Blue Bayou on the Sirius '70s station today, first time I've heard it on that station since May 30. But the second syllable of the last word in the song was muffled as they started in immediately with Love Train, cutting off Linda's money note. I hope Magic Matt didn't do that on purpose.
On the Yoakam channel today, I heard I'm Leaving It All Up to You, I Still Miss Someone, and Crazy Arms. Also heard him play Old Paint and The Sweetest Gift recently. Dwight apparently is a big Linda Ronstadt fan because he talks about her quite a bit and considers her a trailblazer. Unlike critic Robert Hilburn who considers her a "popularizer" instead of a "trailblazer"-- apparently you can be both.

I heard Mr. Radio on KNX-FM 93 a few minutes ago. They also played Linda's version of I Will Always Love You earlier. I've been listening a couple of hours and have heard a lot of great songs I haven't heard in years, even Nicolette and Karla album cuts. I also heard I Never Will Marry and It's So Easy on satellite radio earlier today in the car.
