Lots of Linda on Sydney radio this past weekend.
First radio 2CH had a classic albums weekend with Simple Dreams featured near the start on Friday afternoon playing It's So Easy, Blue Bayou and Poor Poor Pitiful Me.
Then on Sunday, whilst playing Smokey Robinson threeplay they included Linda's Ooh Baby Baby as the middle track.
This morning Alan Jones, Sydney's leading breakfast announcer plaid tribute to Linda's birthday with a short capsule history of her career.

I listen today to Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Radio Channel on Sirius because they have "this day in rock history." Today they recognized birthdays of Artimus Pyle and Marky Ramone but no mention of Linda Ronstadt.

Heard "Tracks of my Tears" on Sirius Bridge today, and it wasn't even a 70s countdown special. Great that they're finally playing her more often.

Sirius Bridge played "It's so Easy" today. That channel has really improved a lot, didn't hear her at all for nearly ten years, now twice in a week, glad they smartened up. Lots of other great artists too.

They played "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" on Sirius Bridge today. They must have hired someone new who happens to be a fan, this is the third time they've played her this week after not hearing her at all in the past ten years.

This morning on KOLA 99.9 FM San Bernardino @ 4:55 AM (just before Casey Kasem's American Top 40: The 80s): "Ooh Baby Baby", the first time in ages that I have heard anything of Linda's on the radio here in the L.A. area in a context other than a nostalgia or countdown show.

Hopefully Linda may gain a resurgence in popularity due to the biofilm (not the slime-enclosed community of bacterial colonies that is very difficult to eradicate even with the most powerful antibiotics or sterilizing systems) but the bio film documentary. Almost every recording starting with her eponymous album sounds fresh and undated thanks to her perfectionism in only using quality musicians and recording equipment, etc. She was roundly criticized for that but it served her and us well. It's made her music timeless.

Heard "Tracks of my Tears" and "It's so easy" on Sirius Bridge today. It's great that they're playing her more often now, but it would be nice if there was more variety. They seem to only play the same 3 or 4 songs all the time.

I have heard that recently on the Bridge also. They must have recently added it to that station's playlist. They used to play several Linda songs that I no longer hear.
It would be good to hear Blue Bayou on the '70s station. I've never heard it there. Or any of her '80s hits on the '80s channel.

Didn't you not renew your Sirius, Boss? I thought y'all were talking about it on one thread, no? Maybe if Brian Williams references a Linda song EVERY night she would get more play!!!! eddiejinnj

To cancel your subscription, you generally have to call in so they can talk you into staying. I was paying $20.xx a month for Sirius and I definitely was not getting my money's worth so I went online to cancel. When I clicked on the link to cancel, it offered me a six-month contract for approximately $25, so I took that and stayed subscribed. After six months, if I can get it for that rate, I will keep it.

Hurt So Bad on Sirius Bridge. Don't hear that one too often, nice to hear one from Mad Love, one of her best albums. Great that they're finally playing her more often now. For years, even many lesser known artists and one hit wonders got more airplay than Linda.
