Well, 3 live tracks professionally remastered ain't so bad, considering the dearth of quality live LR recordings.
Still, I already have the gold MoFi CD and see no reason to spend the $ on another reissue.
Had there been the 3 live tracks plus unreleased songs, absolutely.

The Rhino site says September 22 as a release date. Then in body of article says cd available Sept, 15. ? Would like to know if the whole booklet is liner notes from Asher on each song or are there pics of Linda included etc.? That is pretty cool that Asher took the time to do the notes. I hope he gives comments/insights on his production but also the collaborative process with Linda. I am hoping for a top 200 charting for the album. What do others think? eddiejinnj

Chart position would depend on actually getting the CD in stores where it can be purchased. Most of these Ronstadt compilations I must purchase online. I assume that the largest seller of CDs nationwide would be Walmart. The new deluxe Trio reissue was not available in Walmart, altho they did have the single CD excerpts. None of the three recent Spanish language reissues were in Walmart, nor was the original Canciones DVD or reissue.

Amazon is the world's largest seller, far and away, of cds. Doesn't matter - most musical items are counted as streams - even downloads are yesterday's news. Still a deserves our attention. Be nice to highlight the release on this fine site.

Here is a local radio station chart listing for Christmas week of 1977, when this album was at its peak position. This chart is from AM station WISM in Madison, Wisconsin.

Being a bit of a geezer, I don't do much streaming. But if you have the right streaming service, Spotify for example, most people have access to any song they would likely want to hear. So for a set price of about $10 per month you can hear anything you like whenever you like, and you don't have to buy any songs or albums. There is a payment scheme for artists-- most of them aren't making much from this but the record companies are probably doing quite well.
I personally do not like the sound quality but the current generation has not grown up appreciating high fidelity-- and really most of the shit they listen to would not benefit from high fidelity.

In an article in the New Yorker, Rosanne Cash said that she received a royalty check for $104 for 600,000 streams.
So someone on Twitter said: Why should I care- she's richer than I am.

With only a week until the new reissue of Simple Dreams, I thought this would be a good time to post this page from the Billboard Book of Number One Albums. And thanks to Mark Watson for sending this to me. Later I will post the pages for Linda's other Billboard #1 albums- Heart Like a Wheel and Living in the USA.

And just a sidebar, Simple Dreams also spent a week at #1 on Billboard's C&W Album Chart. The album it replaced at that spot: Elvis In Concert (the last album of new material of any kind by Elvis' released by RCA)

I ordered 4 Linda cd's yesterday from amazon. I chose the free shipping (takes longer to ship) as in my mind I got one cd free for doing it that way. I really needed a new copy of DCN and Hasten. I have lots of WN and FLH somewhere. I have one copy each to listen to and the rest is in my plethora of cds. I also bought the new "SD" 45th Edition and also GH 1&2. I might give it to a younger friend of mine I been getting to appreciate Linda. eddiejinnj

The CBS SF BayArea Site: dated Sept. 5, 2017 has an announcement about the album and also a link to a YouTube Blue Bayou video. It seems to me to be from Fox Atlanta show. eddiejinnj

Looking up Linda's Simple Dreams' review by Rolling Stone and once at review you will see a link to Linda live. It is an article on the new release and they say they premeiring or something to that effect the live audio extra of Blue Bayou. It is a glowing piece. eddiejinnj
