I'm watching the Star Wars movies. Starting with the three prequals, than the three classics from the 70's and finally the three more recent ones, so that you get one continuous story over nine movies. I must admit that it's an incredible experience. I've watched eight now, so one more to go. Leaving aside a few spin-offs which I intend to watch later.
I like Passengers too, Erik. I wouldn't mind being in a space ship with Jennifer Lawrence for the rest of my life. But what man wouldn't?

A theory that I've heard more than once is that the greys are future versions of us who travelled back in time. Why come to this time period? To see a Linda Ronstadt concert or awards ceremony? To warn us that if we don't clean up our act they will be the result. But hey, I didn't say that it's true. I only said that I've heard it said a few times. But you know how it is when you get into this stuff. Lots of theories. Some of them backing each other up. Others contradicting each other. But there are many different types (or races) of Greys - or so I believe. Some of them aren't even biological but are robots - AI units basically.

It is one of those great tragedies of rock, in my opinion, that Linda's and Janis' friendship was so brief, because they seemed to have much more in common than the rock press might have given either one of them credit for. Who knows just how far that friendship would have gotten had Janis not passed away so terribly early in her life. Not THAT far imo. They did/would have appreciated each other, but they moved in different circles I think. Janis was a bit too outrageous for Linda. And her heroin and booze addictions would have prevented their friendship from getting too deep imo. But it's also true that Janis was an avid reader and very smart. And she was a sensitive soul. Those things could have appealed to Linda.

I didn't know you were a Janis fan Rob. I'm a fan myself. In fact, Janis and Linda were my first two major discoveries in music. After that I got into all of the others as well, but they were the first two.

The most glaring thing to me was his sexist attitude. Calling an adult woman a girl seems odd now but I suppose he was a product of his time. There is a lot to like there however. Well, I sometimes refer to a woman as a girl. But it's intended as a compliment meaning that she looks younger than she probably is. But it's become increasingly difficult to say "the right thing" in the age of political correctness where everyone seems so eager to be offended.

Well, team sports is perhaps the only area where I think nationalism is acceptable. And the US was the deserved winner. I've seen a few games and the US had the best team. Congrats.

Lovely woman, lovely actress, great singer. R.I.P. She could make the sun shine on a cloudy day. Also, let's not forget that Doris made a number of fine albums that aren't related to her movies. And then there is her early music with Les Brown. A fine, fine artist. Day by Night is a fantastic album. Day by Day too.

I seem to recall Linda stating that the disco genre is one she was not comfortable with... I know she never sang anything close to it... Well, I would have payed to hear Linda do Love To Love You Baby and I Feel Love.

Thanks for the best wishes! This forum been my go to place for all kinds of items, besides news about the great Linda. The middle East discussions in particular go far beyond the superficial partisan dreck found elsewhere. Thanks for all the work, everybody.. I thought I was just wasting my time, so thanks. But I probably am anyway because talking about it doesn't help. I get friendship requests at facebook from people from Gaza, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen on a nearly daily basis, as you will have noticed. Some PM me as well. They like the fact that I'm trying to see the going's on there through their eyes. But it's quite depressing to have to listen to their horror stories without being able to help them. It makes me realise how insignificant I am. I spend way too much of my time on this stuff for my own good. But something tells me that I can't afford to let those people down because there are so few that fight the western media/neo-con/zionist lobby propaganda machine. But I'm on my soapbox AGAIN. Happy birthday Robert.

Anyway, thanks buddy. Here's to many more discussions and us disagreeing and agreeing. Btw, it's also Robert's birthday. So happy birthday to him as well. Thanks for the thought, but its tomorrow...happy birthday to a fellow Leo! Time is relative Robert. People like you or me don't need a clock. We decide for ourselves what time it is. So Happy birthday.

Grammys should be won by the likes of Bjork, PJ Harvey, Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Regina Spektor, etc. Like it or not, they are the female artists that history will record as the important ones of the last thirty years or so. On the other hand - who cares? I doubt that anyone still takes the grammys seriously. In fact, I'm surprised that anyone ever did to begin with when you go over the list of past winners and who won what and when. They have always been completely clueless and decades behind the times. That's why they now give grammys to older artists to make up for the fact that they didn't give them any for their best work thirty or forty years ago.

Nobody did "arena rock" better than these guys. Their shows were a party, and Angus Young (Malcolm's brother) was/is a monster on guitar.

Don't get too excited. People are already tiring of this and other stories. Some are hitting too close to home and people don't want to deal with it. It will evolve into a money making grab by so called victims and like all Fake News much of it will become fake and then it will be difficult to discern fact from fiction and everything will be dismissed out of hand. It will then go underground again. Hopefully not before some good comes of it.Well, we're at a crossroads. With all that is coming to the surface, not only about this topic, but also about manipulated wars, how the banking system works, ancient history, ufology, the nature of reality, AI, and so much more, people no longer have the excuse of "I didn't know." Ignorance is a choice now. For anyone that wants to know - it's ALL out there. Humanity now has a choice of whether they want to turn a corner and save the planet and their species, OR they can ignore it all and leave behind a hellhole for future generations, of which there won't be many anymore if we continue on our current path. Wake up or die is the choice we're faced with.

Worst kept secret in Hollywood that Spacey is gay.
I think there are probably worse stories outside of Hollywood. Much more in Christian congregations and churches in my research. Politics and politicians may come in at third place. Outside of the USA in the third world even worse situations.
These stories will be never ending. Sexual (and other) abuse, including pedophelia goes on in every society and among people of all walks of life. But it gets progressively worse the higher up whatever pyramid or power structure you go. How come? Well, the higher you get up the pyramid the more psychopaths there are. It's there that you will meet the people that will do whatever it takes to get there. And thus it's there that you will meet the most people who don't have a conscience. Eventually politics will be revealed for the gigantic pedophile ring it really is, similar to the Catholic church. I'm not at all afraid to make such a blanket statement. Just get the popcorn out and enjoy the show. It will happen eventually - no doubt in my mind whatsoever. Of course the media, and much of the public will resist. And there will be lots of censorship. But the genie is out of the bootle and there's no way of putting it back in. This is the time when everything that has been hidden will come to the surface.
