That most recent pic was likely taken outside of her home in Beechwood Canyon sometime either in late 1970 or early 1971, since it was in the first major Rolling Stone magazine story done on her in their March 1971 edition.

I'd like to be able to get a copy of this photo without the Getty Photos imprimatur slapped across it. To be honest, I've got doubts they are the holders of the copyright on the photo, which should be a felony for claiming to be. Ann Moses, who was the teen editor of Tiger Beat in the 60s, recently came across a photo she had taken of the Bee Gees which was imprinted on a T-shirt a company was selling. It was sent to her via Facebook by one of the people who are members of her Facebook page. Ann owns the copyrights on the celebrities she took photos of. I know Getty is not the copyright owner or holder on many of the photos they have, and it's wrong for them to slap their imprint on the photos to keep people from copying. But, this photo of Linda is just gorgeous!

Thanks, Erik. I figured pretty well. I love pics of her playing guitar. As shy as she was you would have figured she would play at the same time as singing as am sure some do. Take the focus off just on her singing. Shame the guitar looks like it suits her. eddiejinnj

That was a great set of pics on that video. Love the one with JD where she is looking up to the left. She just so darn cute you could eat her up!!! Even the one in the beginning with her the striped shirt. Seems like her whimsical side. That one of main things I was originally intrigued by that sustained my wish to know her music better and well get all of her albums etc. :-) Thanks!!! eddiejinnj 2626

That is cute. Linda looks to be a 5th grader in that photo? Her pony grew up too. Her hair is the same color as the horses mane.

Linda's reaction to Emmy is priceless. She really was surprised. We all knew Emmy was there before Linda. I bet Emmy made Linda believe she wasn't going to be there somehow. Surprise would have been ruined had she read this thread.

Quote by ronstadtfaanaz:
The Kennedy Center folks really do know how to keep things under wraps for this ceremony until it's time to unleash, so Linda's reactions were genuine and, needless to say, priceless as well. She couldn't have asked for much more, nor could we (IMHO).
Quote by ronstadtfanaz re. young Linda on her horse:
Almost as if she is saying Eddie Murphy's famous quote in the 1982 film 48 HRS.: "There's a new sheriff in town." (LOL).

That was nice of them to break bread and sing at Linda's house (which always looks so clean). I guess her black hole of Calcutta days are long gone. I am guessing that Linda, Michael and Joshua were friends before the Kennedy Center Honors so that makes 3 connections Linda had to the honorees. Thank you for posting that Chris.
