Is this Linda? I know there was a picture of her slicing into a cake shaped like a guitar.

WTF OK, I was using one of those blockers and it was blocking Pinterest. Eddie if you just click on the pic, it will take you to the link, then click 2nd time to blow it up. The weird ting is the girl that originally posted it, didn't know who it was! I guess she just thought it was a cool pic?

I'm guessing it was a birthday celebration 1980. It looks like Kevin Kline and Rex Smith in the picture. If you click on the picture you can make it larger. The cake says Linda which makes me think it's a birthday celebration. I could be wrong.

I wonder if the pic of the Steinway is the same area where the inner sleeve of SD was photographed? Maybe not there is like a little stage there but in the photo it is hard to see the left part of room or backstage. I'm probably wrong on this one. Anyway, just a suggestion, you might want to consider how many pages each subsection of photos should be. I did the page breaks for this but i don't think the overall organization of the thread is up to me as I did not originally start it. eddiejinfl

Well, I wasn't the creator of the thread so I wanted to get ideas from its originator. I was just suggesting that if say Linda photos 16 say gets to 5 pages maybe start new thread number 17. I am just trying to figure out what is the best way for people to see these photos you and others take a lot of time to post. To be seen and quickly accessible. No biggie. Just food for thought. I figured maybe an organizational expert, which I am not, might have a suggestion. eddiejinfl

So here we go again. All my postings through a 3rd party host service are once again shut down. At least this organization isn't trying to extort money to get the photos back. Looks like I have to go through each photo posted through them and change the address for the photo to show up here.

Love this photo. Exquisite. This would look so beautiful in an antique frame, for a shabby chic/victorian style room.. foo foo bedroom. Love it.

I captured that photo and put it in my Instagram feed ! @mrkeyeslondon Obviously is from Pirates DVD with a little PhotoShop filter on it. Linda looks great. I watched Pirates again for the first time in a few years - it’s wonderfully good and should be released on Blu-ray hopefully for a revival!

John Stewart and Linda Ronstadt
song John wrote about Linda: You mentioned Linda Ronstadt just now. I heard... this song, 'Nightman,' did you write that for her?Yeah, I did. I hadn't seen Linda in about seven years and when Russ was doing the album he was also doing Linda Ronstadt's album. He said, "You oughta come down. Linda would like to see you and hear what she's doing." When I went down to the studio Linda said, "Gee, I really was excited about your hit, 'Gold.' I didn't know it was you when I heard it on the radio. I called Wendy Waldman and said, 'There's this great record on the radio, we've gotta write a song like it.'" I said, "Well, it's just the old minor shuffle. Would you like one?" She said, "Yeah, would you write one for me?"At that time she was doing a lot of new wave kind of songs that she heard from a guy named Mark Goldenberg. A good songwriter, he's with a group called The Cretones. She had gone to The Roxy and seen them there and had really been knocked out. It had given her new inspiration for her own music, and it gave her new energy that she was really wanting to have. So I wrote a song about a girl who goes down, in this case, to The Troubadour and sees this band called The Nightman. She heard the song and said, "John, I love it, I think it's a hit, but I don't want to do it. But you should do it, it's great." The demo I made for it is the song on the album and I just beefed it up a bit. I played it for Al Coury. I said, "Al, I wrote this song for Linda and I don't know if I should do it." He said, "If you don't do it I'll break both your arms." Author: Ronstadtfanaz (from YouTube) quoting John Stewart

Taken off of E-Bay: Late 1977: S Very nice, Erik. I saw a video of Kelly Clarkson this morning, she was on the news, and she looked real cute, a bit like Linda in this photo.

As Carly Simon said on the VH1 Special: "Linda Ronstadt had this electrifying presence" Not sure it is an exact quote but close enough that I want to quote her. eddiejinnj
