I would think so. I'll have to dig out the DVD and watch it again in anticipation (hype?) of the Box Set release. The Steve Hoffman Forum (link earlier) also had:
Light of the Stable - Emmylou Light of the Stable w/ Neil Young Evangeline - Emmylou Evangeline
It also says there are several from Ballad of Sally Rose, but I don't have liner notes (only MP3 album - know about Sweetheart of the Rodeo, but not others). Anyone?

The Brian Ahern Trio recordingsI came across a very interesting comment in an article from a January 1981 newspaper about “Dallas” star Linda Gray and how Dolly Parton taught her to speak Texan. I would love to see the finished artwork – as it would have a full list of the tracks. The following Trio images by Ed Thrasher are from February 1978

It is interesting in the bottom photo to see that Linda is wearing a cross around her neck. Given the statements she has made when touring for her memoirs about The Catholic Church and nuns, etc., I find it interesting that she was wearing a cross back then. I am wondering if as she got older she started to have more bitter feelings toward the Catholic church. And I am saying this as someone born and raised Catholic and who attended Catholic school and I have no affiliation with the Catholic church any more. It just struck me seeing Linda with a cross.

No, I don't think it means anything other than something ornamental. Mostly tradition. It's like so many of us celebrate Christmas, love the season but aren't Christians. I think Linda is more pagan than anything. Even the Mexican Catholics aren't traditional Christians but have a paganistic bent to their beliefs. The other reason she is wearing that silver cross is that Dolly is a werewolf.

I think that the ornamental vs religious for Linda is right it could have just as well been a crescent or a star of David. On a more serious note I thought crosses worked for vampires not werewolves.

One member posted a pic of her with a rosary on not long ago. It seems she has some respect for the symbolism/tradition behind them. Like Linda has said she is very traditional in many ways. She was a rock and roll knitter lol!!!!!! eddiejinfl

Interesting!
When there is confirmation that the Ahern Sessions produced enough material for an album - the only comments raised are about Linda wearing a cross in one of the pictures.
Surely there must be some interest in discovering the missing material and artwork.

I am very interested if there is fresh new music from the first sessions. What is out now? 4 or 5 that Emmy put on her albums and one on Get Closer. If there are 5 or more other songs we have never heard it is a big deal to me. eddiejinfl

And I have gone to Amazon when it was first mentioned and tried to order it when Amazon showed it as upcoming and then it got pulled. I have contributed to this thread and similar ones over the years about material recorded by Linda, Dolly and Emmy. So just because I happened to see Linda wearing a cross and I mentioned it, I and others are able to care about and have interest in the unreleased music, etc., and still discuss other things. It was an observation.

The last Thrasher photo could be used for the American Dental Association. Is it me or are not their teeth on prominent display in that photo? Maybe even lightened for the photo? Looks odd in a Twilight sort of way.

While I hope not, I have a feeling if we do not hear something from Rhino soon, the Trio box set might get delayed again. This news just broke a couple of hours ago:
Largest North American Tour in 25 Years
Dolly Parton is set to bring her boundless energy to stages in over 60 cities as she embarks on her first major U.S. and Canadian tour in more than 25 years. For the last 20 years, Parton has only played select dates in the U.S., but her 2016 tour will cover cities across North America. As one of the hottest concert tickets of the summer, Parton’s legion of fans are destined to sell out the shows quickly. Parton’s set-list will include hit songs all while weaving in a few new songs from her double-disc album Pure & Simple with Dolly's Biggest Hits. She will also be playing songs that have not been heard live for decades. “We’re so excited to get out there and see the fans again. I’m really looking forward to singing songs the fans have not heard in a while, as well as the hits, while debuting a few new ones off Pure & Simple,” Parton said.
Pure & Simple with Dolly's Biggest Hits 2-CD set will include all new material as well as a compilation of Parton’s biggest hits. A track listing for Pure & Simple will be announced soon.
The Country Music Hall of Famer is on one of the biggest hot streaks of her career after her hugely successful TV movie, “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors,” attracted a network record of 15.8+ million viewers and was the most watched movie on network TV in more than 3 years. “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors,” will be released on DVD May 3.
Stay tuned for tour date announcements and album details.
With Dolly going on tour with a new album out for herself during the "Summer", it looks like this release and the release of the Trio set might overlap. I wonder if this means another delay? Interestingly, this is exactly what happened in 1994 when Parton released "Heartsongs" right over the Trio II release window.

I am not sure it would matter if Dolly toured or not because Linda certainly couldn't go on tour anyway and without Linda there is no Trio. If anything Dolly's tour could help if she mentions the Trio album III or plays a tune or two from it during intermission. Same with Emmylou if she tours or if Linda does a talking tour.

Thank you for the video! I realize he mentions a June release, but normally something so soon released would be taking pre-orders by now. I think that, perhaps, Dolly had originally planned to, along with Emmy, promote the box set in October when it was originally intended to be released and once those plans were abandoned, she made other plans for herself. That means one of two things. That Rhino will release the box set with very limited publicity from the Trio themselves, which would be perfectly fine as long as it is released with enough PR from them. The second option is the project is shelved again for a "future" release - which I hope is not the case. In the press conference for the new tour, Dolly mentioned she will be touring from May-December of this year in addition to working on the "Jolene" TV-Movie for NBC and the Broadway play of her life-story was now in the early stages of making it on stage. Emmy is also touring over the summer based upon her website, but she has dates built-in for a break. Once Dolly's tour dates are revealed, perhaps a "common" open space for both of them might be telling of the proposed release date for the Trio box set.

Poor choice of date and far too long - what happened to 2nd quarter of 2016 - this almost end of 3rd Q!! Disappointing cover art after all this time - Trio logo looks very amateurish and photo is one seen many many times .... But at least there is something out there

I was going to post that before re: purple highlights in her hair. I hope the liner notes will discuss the unreleased stuff and some history etc. So we have to wait 6 months. Bummer!!! Regarding the unreleased stuff, I hope there will be one song that they will try to send demos out for country radio play (probably going to hear about that big wish lol). eddiejinfl
