Actually in 1974 the drive from Fullerton, CA to Seattle, WA would have over 20 hours. It was double nickels back then.

Biff, that is true. I have seen those photos of the 3 of them together in various scenes seemingly the same day but not of them actually performing. eddiejinnj

There is a color photo of Linda. Bonnie, and Maria singing together that night in the Esquire article: ronstadt-linda.com/artesq.htmThat photo is on the left below, and one other shot, and one of Linda with Maria:

Thanks, RobGNYC for the pictures. That's the first time I have actually seen pictures of them performing together. I think they must have sat in with Linda on the January 11, 1974 Santa Monica Civic Center gig. I wonder what they were singing.

Bonnie Raitt Giving Drink to Linda Ronstadt Singer Linda Ronstadt (right) accepts a drink from singer Bonnie Raitt during Ronstadt's 1974 concert at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. Singer Maria Muldaur watches at center. (Photo by Henry Diltz/Corbis via Getty Images) Getty's dates are Jan '74 January seems to be settled. It’s the exact date-10th or 11th-that’s in question. 10th. Singing.

The above photo is Linda in Santa Monica dressing room for Concert with Bonnie/Maria which is posted on Henry Diltz Photography Facebook page where he quotes the date as the 14th January 1974.The other two photos show ticket stub for Linda/Jackson Browne concert at Santa Monica on 11th January 1974 (sorry RobNYC just seen you already posted this) & the third picture also on Henry Diltz Photography Facebook page shows this poster where Diltz quotes ‘Backstage in Santa Monica Civic dressing room the night Jackson Browne & Linda Ronstadt played there .Don’t usually see a poster in the dressing room….first time for everything.’ So Diltz seems to have been there at both concerts which seemed to have been at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium a matter of three days apart.I did quote in my earlier post above that the 14th January seemed like a possible date for the disputed concert as there was a gap in the Linda /Jackson tour schedule & they were still in California.Anyway that’s my opinion on this matter & probably my original photo in pink check shirt was from the 11th January concert as my source is a very knowledgable Linda fan in Japan.I have hunted high & low for the details of the Linda/Jackson concert & am totally fed up of the whole saga so that’s all you will be hearing from me on this matter.

I came across a reference to a review of the Santa Monica concert:
1-11-74 Santa Monica Civic Auditorium (Rolling Stone review 2-14-74 p70)
Does anybody have access to a copy of, or a library, with the 'Rolling Stone Cover to Cover' publication (by Bondi Publishing) with CDs containing full copies of each magazine published up to about 2005.
The concert review may give us the information we need.

Thank you for posting Tony.
Still no clues relating to the Linda / Maria / Bonnie performance.
Interesting the writers suggestion regarding Linda recording "You're No Good" - "it's a genuine hit song". How right she was.

Jackson also only then had hits with rockers. The writer is disdainful of both him and Linda as performers. Do critics like anyone?

Well, the short answer to that is "Maybe" (LOL). The long answer is that they're not obligated to write glowing reviews about anyone.
But I do wish some of them had ears that weren't made of tin.

Another date I have come across online is 5th December. Pinterest states a birthday celebration, perhaps Maria (Nov) or Bonnie (Sept). A FB post says the 3 sang together at an early 70s Philadelphia Folk Festival. Bonnie was at the 1972 one I believe.

All due respect to Henry, he was there, but the ticket stub seems to be the best proof and it says January 11.

I have just seen a comment from a fan on Henry Diltz Photographs page remark on his photo of the Linda/Bonnie/Maria concert that he was there .He quotes ‘Linda was sitting a few seats down from me & when I saw her get up & head backstage I told the person with me something cool was going to happen. The best part was they sang one or two songs & then Bonnie had Tom Waits come join them.Linda wasn’t too sure what to make of Tom & looked a little scared of him’. That’s the first positive comment I have seen other than the photos that the concert actually took place.

RobGNYC that ticket stub I thought we had agreed was the Linda/Jackson gig, there’s no mention in the review in Rolling Stone found by Ausfan2 that Bonnie & Maria & now we find Tom Wait appeared at that concert.I still think they were two different dates at Santa Monica Civic on the 11th & 14th January but I could be wrong.

This photo on its save-as download name has 11 Jan 1974. If we accept the date, the question then is what song did the 3 girls sing together. In conversation later, Linda only remembered Bonnie singing with her at the Lowell George benefit concert.
