Thanks, memac Happy New Year!!! I remember the album cover of the Hudson Bros on a pier from which this song came. Linda should be listed as a featured vocalist. I was going to say duet but the "duet" is Linda and the Hudson Bros. I didn't think that configuration would qualify as a duet. eddiejinfl

It is the "Nightman" which is on the same album as Odin so like '79-'80 before the album came out. We have discussed the BK Special guest vocal by Linda somewhere on the forum. Welcome to the forum, spotter. If you care to share, are you a fan of Linda's and how did you become one? All have a great day!

Can't find the BK track searching. I have bought the BK Express CD, so when it arrives, I'll be able to assess it. 40 years later, Linda singing with Bobby on a folky album must have been poignant for both.

I read yesterday that in the 1980s Linda guested in a Christmas show at the Paramount by Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir. Linda sang "Oh Holy Night" as a duet with Terrance Kelly.
I have been unable to find a recording online, can anyone help please?

My "BK Special" CD has arrived. I immediately played "Into The Arms Of Love", track 3, which Linda guests on. Its a very sweet song. Linda harmonises with Lavina & Stefan, but I could distinguish her voice enough (with my "Linda ear".
Bobby Kimmel is the main vocalist, and his gentle elderly voice is very soothing. The album was recorded in June 2007, Linda was 61 going on 62.
(Adieu False Heart album was released in 2006, so I am not sure if ITAOL was the next studio song she contributed to.)
BKS was recorded and mixed by Duncan Stitt at A Writers Room studio, Tucson in June 2007, mastered by Craig Schumacher at Wavelab, Tucson AZ.
Definitely poignant to hear Linda singing with Bobby again, both at nearly the end of their careers. BK Special is a charming album which I bought primarily for a rare Linda guesting, but have enjoyed all of it.
From a 2014 interview with Bobby Kimmel
'It's probably one of the last vocal things she ever did. Several years ago... probably four or five years ago there was a song I wrote. She had come to visit Tucson and I had mentioned that we had some takes on our new CD and she wanted to hear them and so I was all excited. I was playing the song and she was humming along in the backround. I said,"Linda that's beautiful, would you sing on the record with us?". She said, "I won't do a solo, but I'll sing in the chorus with you". It was real gracious for her to do that so late in her career. As I said, "It probably turned out to be one of the last things that she ever recorded".'

June 2007 would make Linda 60 and turned 61 a month later on July 15, 2007. No biggie but they get her named spelled incorrectly so often, I want to make sure people know correct age. Linda was born on July 15, 1946. Thanks for reminding me of the BK song. I think I might have heard it once. Peace eddiejinfl

In 1982 Linda sang Dusty Springfield’s I Only Want To Be With You three times in concert.Firstly 6th June at Rose Bowl,Pasedena, secondly 9th June at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coiiseum Uniondale,N.Y. and finally 10th June again at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum,Uniondale,N.Y. It’s a pity she didn’t record it on any of her albums.Maybe there’s a copy in the vaults somewhere.

I think that is a great duet vocal, Craig Fuller and Linda. I like the chorus of the song especially. eddiejinfl 4000

I have found "Carnival Bear" is on another CD apart from the Bear Family 25th Anniversary box set.
The other CD can be bought from discjapan.

If you’ve ever seen or heard or read James Taylor and/or Carole King talk about the song then you know that’s not true. Linda might have said it in jest.

I apologize if this has been placed in this thread before, but I think previously it was in the thread on Linda and Jimmy Webb. This file is from The Boston Pops when Linda performed with Rosemary Clooney. Rosemary released a solo studio version of “Time Flies” but here Linda and Rosie perform “Time Flies” live. It is sandwiched in between two Gershwin tunes — www.dropbox.com/s/sxzktiyupvcfn9q/12%20Duet%20Time.mp3?dl=0

You can hear Linda clearly from 4:07, but she is harmonising with the choir before, as in her TV performance of the song.
Linda produced this album for Aaron Neville.

I'm not that familiar with Teresa's music, but that's a very pretty song. She also has a song called "I Love Being a Girl Scout" so that blends well with Linda's Cub Scout motif. Is Teresa still recording music these days?

Quote by PoP80:
Teresa (last name: Suber, though she only uses her first name) is an indie-country singer originally from Hartford, Connecticut; and sometime in the late 1990's, she managed to get Linda to co-produce (with Adam Mitchell) her album Brave New Girls, and even had Linda and her brood sing with her on "Way Down Under". For the record, Teresa is yet another fan of Linda's among the modern C&W sect.
