I have to look up those photos I referenced and see if it is AR who took them. Welcome warren to the forum. I think you have posted before.
We going out and about today for my 39th bday (Milton Berle reference) to see what havoc we can wreak (really just going to yard sales, doing a few hr day trip with friends then dinner with different friends). eddiejinfl
PS: My Mom bought my bro and I Members Only jackets for Christmas one year. Mine was a slightly off-white wool one with kind of a prairie collar. As the Bunkers sang "Those were the Days".

I do like the lead off photo. It is gorgeous though I get what others are saying about capturing her essence. Are the photos where she looks like a Star Wars princess by AR also? Those I dislike. eddiejinfl

He really does deserve the award like others said above. He seems to be such a humble, down to earth gentleman. Of course, I love to hear him talk about Linda.

I just think that there must be a reason why a GH package of Linda's only got to even Number 20 (though those publications didn't seem to have the clout as Billboard) after having an amazing 1980 and 5 Platinum albums in a row. I feel maybe her fans at the time had all the songs (since we have discussed that Linda was more of an album artist) that included the songs on GH vol. 2. I just have always had an aching feeling that there was a reason it didn't do nearly as well as Vol. 1. I am guessing but by 1980 Vol 1 probably had at least 5 million sold and Vol 2 seems to have barely went Platinum. Thanks for everybody's input. I like to get everyone's opinion in such analysis. eddiejinfl

cool better than I remembered at the moment. I was saying 30's as I thought 31 but I knew that was for GC but anyway, thanks my friend for being so good to me/us for providing quick info. I always wondered if the timing of the album was good or not considering several analytical issues. eddiejinfl

Speaking of photos, I received a beautiful slightly early bday present from a dear friend back in NJ. It is an 8x10 glossy gorgeous clarity photo of Linda. It is the shot from the "What's New" era of her lying down on her stomach, head resting on her right hand and her back heeled foot in background kicked up. Always thought that a particularly evocative picture and love/d it. I feel very grateful to have a friend who would think of me and send such a special gift,

I only remember Melanie's own version of LWTDTMS Ma with it's raw sometimes raspy approach. I do know it was made famous by The Seekers but can't recall ever hearing it. eddiejinfl

Well as far as the Billboard chart GH Vol 2 I think made it to the low to mid 30's and I remember it as such. "Get Closer" peaked at number 31 if I recall correctly so they were both in the same ballpark. Rob, I agree that STLDBM was not a soft song. Even my heavier rock younger brother I would catch (lol) playing that song. All have a great Sunday!!! eddiejinfl

God, I played the "Cinderella" vid and I remember seeing this as a kid. Linda could have done the role well, imo!!! Celeste Holm is from NJ, tmk. eddiejinnj

My other half heard on WOBM FM from the NJ Shore a whole segment on Linda's biopic and Selena Gomez playing her. I will ask him what else was said again.
I thought it cool he called me right up after he heard it. eddiejinnj My opinion re: the Lily vid is that it should be taken down because of the language. Not for any other reason. Their stupid fight is their fight but since I kind of think this a general audience site it be best to be removed. It doesn't really add to a Linda site discussion. Just sayin, lol Happy Sunday y'all eddiejinnj

If that Five Year Album Chart was generated a little later in the year it would have included GH Vol 2 which would have made 6 albums in the 5 year period.
Like they say: "Those were the days" eddiejinnj

Could be one of those things that Linda does not recall well or it just got by us after all these years. The Linda Mick Tumbling Dice piece we all did not hear until recent years. For many moons, tmk, there were just pics, backstage and onstage. Would love to hear the "Heatwave" duet. eddiejinnj
