Ghostbusters!!!! lol I went to a vintage vinyl store yesterday. I have GH Vol 2 framed but not GH. They had 2 kind of frame worthy at $10. I think I can find one more perfect but I did buy Billy Squier cd and some loose cds as I want to support local businesses. Rocked it out to my doc's appt. As a completist, I think the Boss would probably still want to keep it. I might be tempted to return it. I am a selective completist (I know what is that?). Meaning, the Boss, would want all of her stuff especially since he has the best Linda page on Earth. A release such as this where I am not SURE how much of it goes to Linda and has no new material would be ones I would consider passing on. eddiejinnj

You would call Friday music. But I recall on their website they encouraged fans to ask questions or comment, so I did, but I got no response. I never see any Linda Ronstadt LPs in stores that sell new vinyl records. What's up with that? I contacted Friday Music twice about other Linda releases and got no response!

on another note I bought the Friday Music blue vinyl Living In The USA - it arrived a few days ago and I've only just had chance to listen to it.
TERRIBLE SOUND!
It's virtually unlistenable due to background echo and other noise ..... I have emailed them to see if there is perhaps just a problem with my copy and am waiting a response. based on previous experience though I'm not expecting any!

Do they have a phone number to call? It is easier, in many cases, to ignore an e-mail vs call. Just a suggestion. eddiejinnj

Mine sounds pretty good, and I've had good success with other Friday releases too. I hear in other places that some people have had issues with their releases but I have not. The 2 Friday Music Dan Fogelberg LPs I have - Souvenirs and Twin Sons - sound and look great. My copy of Mad Love is also very nice. I'd try replacing your copy to see if the problem persists - buy it from a place with a good return policy. Keep trying Friday too...can't hurt unless your frustration with them builds. Good luck.

In 1982, when my parents drove me to Christiana Mall in Newark, Delaware, to buy Get Closer at the moment the record store had one, I probably would have FAINTED if there'd been a gold or marbled vinyl record involved -- just the polka-dotted label was enough for me at the time. What I remember about Get Closer is that I opened up the package and read all the liner notes before we even got home, so eager to see who she was working with. I was like, "Oh, I see Rosemary Butler's on this! And who is Debbie Pearl?" In 1990, about this time in '90, I moved to L.A. and met Rosemary almost immediately after she wrapped up Linda's Cry Like A Rainstorm Tour. Rosemary invited me to join a Christmas caroling choir conducted by Debbie Pearl. These 2 singers from the Get Closer LP became two of my first L.A. friends & remained so throughout 30 years in part from that annual caroling choir, which, in 2020, will certainly be canceled. I have a lot of fond memories of listening to the Get Closer album over the years & seeing Linda tour with it in Philadelphia (my first Linda show), am glad to see this & her other titles getting these vinyl reissues.

I saw Linda at the Universal Amphitheatre for "Get Closer" in 1982. The first night there was a couple sitting in front of us that would not stop talking and were so rowdy that we couldn't really enjoy the show. I complained to the box office and they gave us comp'd tickets for the next night. So saw her two nights during that tour.
