Grammy-winning musician Linda Ronstadt is arguably the most versatile vocalist of the modern era. She has broadened the latitudes of the pop singer, expanding her canvas to include country, rock and roll, big band, jazz, opera, Broadway standards, and Mexican and Afro-Cuban influences. Although she sang her last concert before retiring in 2009, Linda has since released her autobiography, Simple Dreams: A Musical Memoir, and was elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
Part interview, part presentation, Linda will recount episodes from various times in her long career, as well as her thoughts on music and what it has meant in her life.

Linda Ronstadt has added a new speaking engagement on April 21st, 2016 at the landmark Labero Theater in Santa Barbara, California. There is a new link to buy tickets including a private reception before the show that you may wish to post. Glad she is well enough to continue these wonderful conversations with the public. Hopefully this site will and others will report on these gigs. I went to the one in Delaware last year with Bromberg and it was fabulous. She is a down to earth marvel and wealth of history. I love her still. Read more: ronstadt.proboards.com/thread/3433/ronstadt-show-april-santa-barbara#ixzz42Wk8Z7C0Thank you Guest!

The first two were posted here. I added the third but do we know for sure Linda will be there?
Thanks for posting and asking the question as this is the only way I find out about stuff. I will always edit the first post in this thread to add stuff.

Thank you Sir Ronstadtfanaz. Glad all three are cited here if not on the front of the Homepage. Do hope and suspect Linda will show-up at the April 23rd Grammy event.

I had put a post on the NY show in November that I got tickets and the phone numbers. Not feeling slighted, I just thought more would have comments on it or others that got tickets would have posted something. First time in my life I got front row seats. At least they are according to the gentlemen at the box office said when I bought them. The ticket range is off a little. It had said 40 something to 64. Mine were $75 each with a $5 fee. That is why I had commented that in the write-up for the West Chester, PA show next March it says 20-40 approx. Way cheap. eddiejinnj

My West Chester PA tickets were $25 with a $2 service charge for orchestra. When I saw her at Northridge in California last September, I believe tickets were around $75 can't remember for sure though

If anyone has event information that isn't listed above if you could add it to this thread and then I will edit my first post of this thread to get it listed. That would make it easier to find appearances. I guess I have lots of other stuff to add now too like tv and radio segments.

The Ace Hotel is the tribute to Linda Parkinson's benefit. Having trouble confirming Peter and the Wolf narration. FYI.Pandora just alerted me that Linda would be speaking at The Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016. erik Administrator *****erik Avatar Posts: 6,188 Linda @ Ace Hotel, L.A. 12/11 30 minutes ago . Post by erik on 30 minutes ago Well, it is actually a benefit show for Parkinson's research. But unless Linda has somehow been cloned, I don't know that she can be in two places at once. According to news in the link below, she is also scheduled to do Peter And The Wolf with the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra that same night (scroll down): www.sfcv.org/article/its-news-to-me-10-12-2016 Linda Ronstadt Narrates Prokofiev San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra The Youth Orchestra’s schedule for the season includes the annual Peter and the Wolf presentation on Dec. 11, this time with Linda Ronstadt as narrator. The Date for Long Island, Brookville NY - Tilles Center appearance is November 17, 2016. It is incorrectly listed on the HOMEPAGE. In addition Linda will be appearing at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with Ray Suarez of PBS on December 8th(this is free). Perhaps someone can direct this info to the Webmaster. It was so nice to see Linda at the Lifetime Grammy Awards special.

ronstadtfanaz, can you put the dec 8th show on your 2106 list? is this one of her presentation/lecture shows and is it going to be filmed for pbs? Meaning is she JUST appearing and ray suarez is the interviewer or is it a pbs event with linda as one guest. it seems like the former but don't want to assume. Free admittance might indicate it is going to be filmed, no? just wishful guessing there. but could be. eddiejinnj

I have the Long Island date here correct but Tony would have to fix the homepage one. I also added the PBS one here in the first post.
Thanks for keeping me updated!!

Event Details Linda Ronstadt Living with Parkinson’s DiseaseMar 6, 2017 7:30 PMRoy Thomson HallCall the box office 416-872-4255 Let's Talk Entertainment presents
Linda Ronstadt’s voice was one of music’s great treasures, anchoring hits like “When Will I Be Loved” and “You’re No Good” and crossing genres. With more than 50 million albums sold worldwide and more than 30 Gold and Platinum records, 10 Grammy Awards and membership in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Ronstadt is a consummate American artist. Sadly, Parkinson’s Disease has silenced her singing voice, which inspired her to write the memoir Simple Dreams and embark on a mission to raise awareness of the debilitating disease. Like her memoir, the evening will be full of captivating stories from this remarkable and courageous woman who helped define the music that dominated the American 1970s. Gaby Moreno Rogaciano el Huapanguero at Tribute to Linda RonstadtPublished on Dec 12, 2016
From Linda Ronstadt album “Canciones de Mi Padre,” Guatemalan singer-songwriter and guitarist Gaby Moreno sings Rogaciano el Huapanguero. Linda's 1987 Spanish recording is the biggest selling non-English language album in the history of the U.S. music industry. Gaby Moreno's Ilusión is nominated by the 2017 GRAMMY Awards for Best Latin Pop Album. A Tribute To The Music Of Linda Ronstadt was live in concert at The Theater at Ace Hotel, Los Angeles, CA on December 11, 2016.
100% of the concert proceeds will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for the cure of Parkinson's Disease. After being diagnosed four years ago, Linda Ronstadt's singing career was ended by Parkinson's. Five million people are affected worldwide. Linda could not attend the event in her honor.Another young Latina who is taking the entertainment industry by storm is Guatemalan singer and songwriter Gaby Moreno.
From voicing musical character Marlena on the TV show featuring the first Latina Disney princess Elena of Avalor to getting a Grammy nomination in the Best Latin Pop Album category for her bilingual album Ilusión, 2016 has been a busy year for Moreno.

The first-time Grammy nominee and already Latin Grammy winner also paid tribute to legendary singer Linda Ronstadt by interpreting one of the artist’s songs from the 80’s “Rogaciano El Huapanguero” during this year’s Special Linda Ronstadt Tribute Concert. Ronstadt's musical career began with the influences of the Mexican rhythms from her father’s guitar and ended in 2013 after revealing she could no longer sing because of the effects of Parkinson's disease.
