Hey fans,
Here's a subject I doubt has been covered on this forum. Who do you think is responsible for the lead-in of "Girls Talk?" You know, the whispers, the giggling and gossipy voices. To the best of my knowledge, there aren't credits for it. One would think it would be Linda, Nicolette and Rosemary, but I think it's probably stock recording. I can't even decipher what they're saying, but I reckon that's the point. Any ideas?

For over 40 years, I’ve thought it was Linda, Nicolette, and Rosemary in the studio together, sped up. Maybe I’m imagining it, but I’ve always heard Linda’s voice in there (she does talk fast—ok, not that fast). If it’s a canned sound effect, I think I’d rather not know. Takes away some of the magic.

I would also surmise it's the three "girls" whispering, but I don't think that's Linda's laugh.

I never knew she/they said “maestro”—I hear it now.

Maybe she was thinking about "Maestro" Leonard Bernstein who she later presented a Grammy Award to in 1985. He was channeling "I Can't Let Go" - LOL.
