I’d be interested in knowing whether that cast album was successful in terms of sales. Obviously soundtracks for Grease and Saturday Night Fever were smash hits. Seemed everyone had the Hair cast album in the late 60a. But did pirates do OK as Broadway cast album I wonder?

Leach's production spawned a best selling double original cast album. My copy of the album is autographed by many of the original cast members, so it's a huge success in my estimation, too!

It was not very successful sales wise. I never bought it back in the day and I wish I had. I’ve got my eyes open for a good LP version when I go to used record stores. I have not seen one for many years.
