This is a film review from "The Daily Trojan," the USC student newspaper (I was editor-in-chief back in 1979). Ethan Coen (of the Coen Brothers) has a new film called "Drive-Away Dolls" and it features two Linda tracks -- Daily Trojan review of "Drive-Away Dolls"<snip> ... it would be remiss to exclude the fact that “Drive-Away Dolls” does have a great soundtrack. Full of throwback tracks like Linda Ronstadt’s “Blue Bayou” and “Long, Long Time” as well as Le Tigre’s “Eau D’Bedroom Dancing,” the undeniably groovy music picks help the plot slide along. <snip>

It a shame that the film got such a bad review. Maybe there will be another one that is better. eddciejinfl

NY Times Magazine March 31, 2024: “Linda Ronstadt lilts in the background—more than once—to remind us that we’ll never be blue, our dreams come true.”

I guess you have to know what "Drive-Away Dolls" is. Linda was talked about in this show/program/movie? Cool that she is in the Easter edition.

Yes, latest Ethan Coen film. “Long Long Time” and “Blue Bayou” are on the soundtrack.
