“Real Love” by the Doobie Brothers entered Cash Box chart at #31, pretty impressive for 1980. “Real Love” is probably my all time favorite song by them. I had a friend who used to DJ at The Saint in NYC. Massive gay dance. Their parties would go on for almost 24 hours and my friend always played “Real Love” after it had cleared out during the morning music portion of the party. One time he played Linda’s version of “You’re No Good” just for me right after “Real Love”. I was in heaven. We are talking 1000 plus people on a the dance floor and that was after it had cleared out and us diehards were left. Good times. This was in 1990 or 91.

I was surprised that Linda would appear on "Solid Gold"--well, she didn't. They showed the official video for "How Do I Make You" (about the 10:40 mark). I used to watch this show every week. It's even dumber than I remember--Marty Cohen's introduction of Linda is embarrassing. First episode but maybe she already had a hunch that it wasn't worth her time to appear in person and plug her latest single from Mad Love--by September 1980, that would have been "Girls Talk"--"I Can't Let Go" was on the way down the charts.
