Zen master music producer Rick Rubin interviews Peter Asher, and he (unsurprisingly) waxes rhapsodically about Linda on Rubin's Tetragrammaton podcast:

I’ve always admired Rick Rubin even before his work with Johnny Cash. Once I heard that first album with Cash I started following the producer more closely. Those Johnny Cash albums he produced are some of my favorite in my collection.

Thanks for posting this. I've always associated Rubin with acts like the Beastie Boys, the Cult and Slayer (but also Johnny Cash), but this clip made me check out his discography and it was an eye opener. (Dixie Chicks? Adele? Had no idea.) Glad to hear that he's a Linda fan -- makes me wonder what a collaboration between the two would've been like.

Very Good. Perhaps this clip should be sent to Wenner. Rubin described Linda as having ; "An astounding Voice," and "One of the Greats." Asher went on to compliment Linda as being : "Smart," "Well read," "ARTICULATE," "extraordinary" and "brilliant." That's all I remember anyway. lol

I saw that too. Peter definitely deserved that award for all he's done in the music business, from his British Invasion contributions to working with Linda, and so much more.

He really does deserve the award like others said above. He seems to be such a humble, down to earth gentleman. Of course, I love to hear him talk about Linda.
