I'm nearing the bottom of the pile of ancient magazines, and I found another one that has not been internetted. This article is from Circus Magazine dated November 10, 1976.

“an album of 12 Ronstadt songs”…thank you “press liaison” for the dream anyway. In 1976, with “Try Me Again” and “Lo Siento Mi Vida” on the new album, it seemed almost possible. What happened to that “Try Me Again” parking ticket? My choice for the all-time piece of Linda memorabilia.

Quote by RobGNYC:
I don't know whether it would have been possible for Linda to come up with that many songs for an entire album on her own any way. It was tough enough for the Eagles to do this when it came to The Long Run, and it almost killed them.
Still, as I've said many times, as much as Linda may say that she'd hate to add to the ever-increasing pile of bad songs out there (and there are a lot of them, most written by committee), "Try Me Again" and "Lo Siento Mi Vida" showed that Linda had the emotional and intellectual acumen to write a really good song. For whatever reason, she just lacked the confidence to do so more than she did (save for "Winter Light"). It is what it is.

That ticket with the song lyrics, I agree would be a HIGHLY desirable Ronstadt memorabilia item. It is a shame she didn't write more, Erik. She did show excellent writing skills with the songs she did do. eddiejinnj
