It's a good thing that they got Tanya and Patty in there; the womenfolk are under-represented in the CMHoF, much as they had been in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame until late.
Of course, it does beg the question as to when, or even if, Linda will join her two Trio pals there, My hope is that it will happen, but, given the obscene backlog that the CMHoF has, I doubt Linda will even still be alive if and when it happens.

With respect to Tanya, backstage at her CMHoF induction, she dropped a bit of a bombshell about one of the songs on the album she has coming out on June 2nd (scroll to the 1:40 mark of the video below):

That’s wonderful. I love Tanya’s work but I never before thought of Linda being a big influence on her.

Well, this is a weird business; but then again, up until Carrie Underwood sang at Linda's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2014, I wasn't all that sure about her being influenced by Linda either (that and she got to her fame via American Idol, a show that Linda's on record as having no use for).
It may be that some of Linda's influence rubbed off on Tanya during the mid-to-late 1970's, as some of Tanya's material sometimes slanted away from straight country towards Linda's left-of-center approach. We won't have to wait too long to find out a bit more.

I was surprised to see Patty Loveless inducted, but pleasantly surprised, since she is one of my favorites. I'm thinking she may have been the last of the traditional female country singers.
But then I thought of who is getting ignored. Rosanne Cash. She should have already been inducted. Maybe she won't be, as she has been critical of the Nashville establishment, and left there for New York City after her career cooled down. She certainly has the credentials-- she didn't get there by being a nepo baby.

Here's another mention from a few other famous girl country singers.. of Linda being an influence. I would wager a bet that most female pop and country singers who came up after Linda were influenced by L.R. big time.

The video has its own thread up in the main Linda section -- ronstadt.proboards.com/thread/8473/reba-terri-ronstadt-medley

Linda's influence is indeed quite a lot bigger than most realize, especially in both mainstream country and alt-country/Americana. Seriously, people talk a blue streak about Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Rhianna, Madonna, but almost nothing about how big a force Linda has historically been and continues to be on her fellow female peers. The fact that Tanya is coming out with a song (that she co-wrote, no less) that pays a tribute to Linda is proof that Linda's impact is still reverberating after five and a half decades.
