Hi, my name is Ted Silar.
I'm releasing an album of Honky-tonk songs with Dan Dugmore (20-year veteran of Linda's really great band, and James Taylor's, too) on pedal steel. (That's Dan playing the solo on "Blue Bayou")
My upcoming album is called "Last Rose."
The songs have a lot in common with Linda's country songs. Dan really did an incredible job on "Last Rose." His pedal steel stylings fit the songs perfectly.
Playing along with Dan is Byron Berline, legendary LA session musician (he often worked with Dan), and who played with everybody, among them Bill Monroe, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Gram Parsons, The Byrds, The Eagles, Vince Gill, Bob Dylan, and the Rolling Stones, to name but a few. (I think Byron and Linda both appeared together on "In My Hour of Darkness" from Gram Parson's Grievous Angel album).
Also appearing on the album is Jason Carter, of the Del McCoury Bluegrass Band, and Kristin Scott Benson, of the Grascals Bluegrass Band.
Release date for "Last Rose" is December 30, 2022.
One of the songs, "That One Last Rose," will be released November 25, for Thanksgiving.
