It seems sad that he passed away just before his birthday, but living to 92 and being recognized as a giant in your field is something we can all aspire to.. . I will take it any day !

Brubeck and his Quartet were also known for "Blue Rondo A La Turk", based on the final movement (a Turkish-influenced rondo) of the Piano Sonata #11 by one Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
