I'm not sure who the original artist/band are.. but I really like this cover. Wasn't there a pop group from the 70's with a similar name.. ? something vocal band?
I've been saying this ever since a certain person got banned from twitter.. hee hee

Hi, Dianna --
I think you might be thinking of the Starland Vocal Band. They had a hit with "Afternoon Delight." They had an association with John Denver. Might have been on his label.
In my last job, we had a bureau in Washington, D.C., and one of my reporters told me that the receptionist who answered the phones was one of the singers in the Starland Vocal Band.

That's RIGHT! Thanks Rick. I couldn't remember the name of the group! Afternoon Delight is the song I was thinking of!

Starland Vocal Band was on John Denver's Windsong Records label. Bill Danoff and Taffy Nivert, half of the SVB, had previously been known as Fat City and had co-written and provided backing vocals to Denver's first big hit, Take Me Home, Country Roads. I guess Taffy was the receptionist as I don't believe the other female vocalist, Margot Chapman, was from the DC area. Bill and Taffy were from the DC area and had worked in obscurity for a while before connecting with Denver.
