UKFAN, I would suggest tracking down somebody that sells full episodes of The Johnny Cash show on dvd. Make sure you know the correct episode though, as Linda was on his show a few times

Hi Tom.I’d just like to thank you for some of your amazing Linda finds on Out of Order, which I also subscribe to.I was wondering if a recording exists of Linda duetting with Johnny Cash on episode #2.4 1970 of the Johnny Cash show on Big Yellow Taxi.I’ve been searching for this for years & if it’s out there you seem to be the one to find it.Thanks. SEASON 2, EPISODE 4: Original Air Date - 14 October 1970: José Feliciano sings "Life is That Way". Johnny Cash sings "Five Feet High and Rising" and "These Hands". Bobby Bare sings "Detroit City". Linda Ronstadt sings "Long, Long Time". Mac Davis sings "A Poem For My Little Lady" and "I Believe In Music". Johnny & Linda Ronstadt duet on "Big Yellow Taxi", "The Old Swimming Hole" and "Water Isn't Water Anymore". Carl Perkins sings "I'll Fly Away". Johnny & June Carter Cash duet on "Keep on the Sunnyside". (Come Along And Ride This Train) "Salute To The Delta Queen", "Country Boy" and "Pickin' Time"; tv-museum.myshopify.com/products/the-johnny-cash-show-complete-series-26-shows

Long shot--does anyone have a link to the 1977 Fox Theater concert with good sound? Or...at least "Crazy." The one I see up on youtube is inconsistent. The sound varies throughout. Searching for cleaner. I love that performance. One of those performances that's dramatically, infinitely better than it's studio version.

I think I have heard a cleaned up version but not sure where. I have the cd in the car and it goes tinny during Love is a Rose and Crazy it screws up too. I feel your pain. eddiejinfl

It would be nice for all or her recorded concerts to be in the best order/condition they can be for posterity sake. eddiejinfl

A very at ease Linda here. Hurt her back!? I was there... She also hurt her pinky finger too reaching for a glass in the cabinet. I'll have to listen to refresh my memory. She had a black velour tracksuit on. Neville Brothers played.

Does anyone know if there are recordings of the Beacon Theater concert? Which one? As far as I know there were multiple times she performed at the Beacon Theater.

I would be interested in whatever ones are available. I hear references to "the Beacon" in the context of outstanding performances, but have not seen them on you tube or???

HI Liza: Come to think of it, I am not sure if there are any of the WW Beacon Theater show. I should check. I would love to hear her do "When We Ran" again. I tell you, it just floored me. I was like "YEEEESSSS" that's the way it's done. All have a great week. eddiejinfl

Hi MG: I must have gone to that show. I just am trying to recall it. I don't think I have missed a GSAC show since I was driving age. She didn't do the Arts Center for years after the 70's but did it again for the mad house Cry tour in '89. I saw a lot of shows there in the '80s but no Linda. I saw Neil Young and JT a few times and others during the '80's. So in the '90's, I was probably at the show you are talking about. It might have been an extension of the FLH tour which I saw in '95 at Radio City if I am recalling all this correctly. I have an amazing memory my Dad always said; so it will come to me. Then I didn't see her there until the what 2003 show (worst audience ever) where Phoebe showed up and they had a musical p'ing contest. So great but a crappy disorganized audience. eddiejinfl

There are two recordings on YouTube from The Beacon singing Do What you got to do & Heart Like A Wheel but the sound not the best. There are also a number of recordings of the 2004 concert but the sound is so bad it must have been recorded out in the car park.

Those were amateur audience recordings, probably on analogue NTSC VHS-C camcorders *shudders*. BUT I am grateful to those people who filmed or just audio recorded Linda! There would be a lot less without.

There was an audience recording at the Universal Amphitheatre in 2006 that I found on YouTube once. It was a recent upload but the next time I checked the link it had been removed. This was a few months ago and I haven't been able to find it since. Does anybody know of any surviving recordings of that performance? I know one of the songs I listened to was Blue Bayou but I don't remember the rest.
