That's a great mention!! Was her grandfather's second wife (gilbert's mom) the woman who looked a lot like Linda.. I remember seeing a photo of her on the old foru, and the resemblance was uncanny.

Of course, all this good stuff coming out of Tucson begs the question once again: When is there going to be industry-wide recognition of Linda?

Since she's retired. I'm hoping the grammy's will recongnize her sometime in the near future. But there are still so many great artists like Linda or from her era who have not been recognized either. Maybe still too soon.

i think it is great but come on this award should have been given like a century ago lol. you know what i mean. linda and her family are tuscon's greatest muscial tradition in both recognition, popularity and talent. eddiejinnj ps: am saying nothing negative re: previous inductees to make that clear.

Daniel Buckley has been a great historian for the Ronstadt family and Tucson in general.

Here is Tucson musician Sabra Faulk at the Tammies, talking about how she had a close encounter with the Hometown Girl when Linda made a return trip, and doing Linda's arrangement of "I Can't Help It If I'm Still In Love With You":
