Where were you New Years Day 1974? I was watching this show at home in New York. I was more interested in seeing Linda perform than I was the ball dropping in Times Square. Linda shows up in that mayhem at midnight 1973 to ring in the New Year which proved to be the Year of Linda Ronstadt! George Carlin is host and Linda performs the last few minutes of the video at 39:25 .. Not the best quality video but certainly worth the watch. Those were the days.

I recall a New Years Rockin' Eve where Linda was on a boat singing Love Has No Pride and Silver Threads and Golden Needles. I also recall an amusing Dr Pepper commercial.
Was this the same year, or the previous year? Did Linda rock out two years?
Or do I have a false implanted memory?

That does sound familiar. I don't recall her being on any Love Boat episodes. Was it the Queen Mary?

Since that shared video is on the Queen Mary it must be the show I am recalling except I remembered two other songs and I didn't remember her singing You're No Good at all. I think my mind must be scrambled because I can't find those songs on the Queen Mary and I can't even find the Dr Pepper commercial.

Actually turning 11 that winter. Remember I said Kennedy. My parents were not together. They separated when I was 7, then divorced a couple yrs later. If my Mom went out and I was at my grandmother's I might have watched this but I am not sure. eddiejinfl
