One of the most popular of all works in the classical repertoire, despite (or perhaps because of) its seemingly simple melody, is the "Canon" by the German baroque composer Johann Pachelbel. And there have been endless versions of it, both in and out of the classical repertoire. Here are five versions of this most vaunted piece. Original classical form (Paillard Chamber Orchestra/Jean Francois Paillard) (1973): "Christmas Canon" (Trans-Siberian Orchestra & Chorus): "Seasons" (Charles Fox): "Theme From Ordinary People" (Marvin Hamlisch): "In The Garden" (Bob James): For further information: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pachelbel%27s_Canon
