Yes, you've really got to wonder whether she thinks anyone still believes she is "shocked" to have all these accolades showered upon her.

I was never that impressed with Jimmy Fallon on the show, but he has became a pretty good impressionist.. anyone who can do a dead end impression of both Neil Young and Russell Brand is OK in my book..

I remember seeing Taylor with a shocked expression when she lost an award...to Carrie Underwood ;D There's just something disingenous about that girl... 10:49 pm - 11/21/2011 Did Taylor Swift Fake Surprise for AMAs Win? The Backlash BeginsSome critics have begun to turn on the singer, who took home three AMAs Nov. 20 and seems to be consistently shocked and wonderstruck by each awards win, despite racking up an ever-growing collection of Grammys, CMAs, MTV Moonmen and AMAs. At Sunday's American Music Awards show, awards darling Taylor Swift went three for three in her nominated categories, taking home Favorite Female Country Artist, Favorite Country Album and Artist of the Year. And each time, as has become her trademark, Swift seemed genuinely shocked and surprised by her win. But, there were those that were less surprised, and less than impressed by her bewilderment at the podium. "'This is like one of the craziest things that has ever happened to me,' Swift said as she accepted for artist of the year. It was her second time winning the biggest honor," CNN subtly pointed out. "Taylor Swift is no stranger to winning awards. Since 2007, the 21-year-old country singer has racked up over 140 nominations and has won 90 awards!," noted Celebuzz. "So after winning so many coveted statues, one would think that T-Swizzle wouldn’t be so shocked when her name was called? Without fail, the Speak Now singer will always put on her signature, and absolutely endearing, surprised face." "Swift had already won two awards when she took her third of the evening: the Artist of the Year honor. Really, it shouldn’t have been a huge surprise. But when Swift’s name was announced, you would have thought that someone had just told the singer the Earth is square, Thanksgiving has been postponed until March and the sky and the ground have now officially switched places," wrote the Washington Post's Celebritology blog. I can’t believe this is happening to me, she gushed even though she won the exact same award just two years ago so, really, it was pretty believable. Then she rambled in utterly shocked fashion and said Oh my God six times, all of which made me really wish Kanye West would stand up and say, Imma let you finish, but Adele is the best Artist of the Year nominee of all time. I think America might have been on his side in this case ... or at least those Americans who didn’t vote for Swift to win the Artist of the Year award. The Huffington Post observes, "Swift, who has won countless major awards, including an impressive four Grammys, always seems a bit surprised when she wins an award." But, they don't seem to mind the act, saying, "It's pretty endearing -- the girl is certainly not jaded -- and fun to watch." "Taylor is no doubt humble, but for the past two years, she’s racked up award after award everywhere from the People's Choice to the Grammys, says the Examiner. "And every time, despite the category or the competition, Taylor Swift looks dumbfounded that she won an award. Either she’s incredibly modest and unassuming, or Taylor should also win an Oscar for her continued Academy Award worthy performances." It's not just awards shows that inspire awe for the 21-year-old singer. Despite playing hundreds of venues on her world tour, she was floored by the amount of people who'd come to see her play at her L.A. concert in August. "After her obligatory hand-heart gesture, enthusiastically returned by the crowd, Swift stood, mouth agape, in apparent awe that every member of the sold-out audience was there to see her," wrote The Hollywood Reporter's reviewer Sophie Schillaci, adding, "She kept the banter to a minimum throughout the show, but when she did address fans, the 21-year-old mostly expressed sentiments of being a small-town girl in the big city -- which is, of course, exactly what they relish in hearing -- though at this point in her career, it's a tough concept to buy." Prior to the AMA's VHI's Best Weet Ever even compiled a mashup of many of Swift's wins and her seemingly-always shocked reaction. www.vh1.com/video/misc/597878/taylor-swift-cant-believe-it.jhtml

It's often hard to tell whether Taylor, who has after all sold tens of millions of albums in so short a timespan, is really genuinely surprised (which takes Sally Field's famous "You like me! You really like me!" speech at the Oscars to new heights of insanity [or inanity]), or whether it's the most over-the-top display of acting since Faye Dunaway's "No wire hangers ever!" spiel from MOMMIE DEAREST. After all, as the old saying goes, it's Showbiz.

Let's not forget. Linda (minus the always shocked reaction) has been very humble with her accomplishments. I remember a long long time ago, must have been the grammyor AMA's, she won for some award, she wasn't there and the person accepting said "she doesn't think that she is any good." I thought, you've got to be kidding.

Linda has always been self-conscious of her voice; she hears various imperfections in it in her recordings that the rest of us don't, and it bugs her no end. We may have a hard time believing that she doesn't think she is any good, but then again we're not in her shoes having to listen to playbacks of the songs she does in the studio.
Even so, I think she realizes how big an influence she has been on her fellow womenfolk, and she does appreciate the accolades. It's just not in her nature to be a bragger or a stage ham in public about it all. She lets the work speak for itself. If she had won a Grammy when she was nominated that first time (for Best Contemporary Female Vocalist in 1970 ["Long Long Time"]), then I think the shock reaction would have been there, and it would have been genuine.
With all the media attention, the tabloid TV reporters, and the Internet, awards shows are always looking out for That Moment of shock and surprise. And for whatever reason, Taylor seems to have given them looks of shock and surprise virtually every single time out since her run-in with Kanye West on the 2009 VMAs. But it is getting a little bit harder from one awards show to the next to believe that consistent shocked expression of hers. You might as well run a consistent tape loop of all her shocked expressions on these awards shows where she wins, and be done with it.

That's just it .We're not in either of their shoes to possibly know how either genuinely feels and IMO Taylor has much more reason to doubt herself. She even wrote a song about it.

Really funny of that guy to put the lady on the spot regarding Taylor.
Of course, the real test for any singer is how they progress vocal-wise from being in the confines of a recording studio to the white-hot spotlights of the stage. It's on the stage where your real mettle is tested. Nobody (well, except for Dave Marsh maybe [LOL]) disputes Linda's ability to be even better as a vocalist live than she is on her albums (which makes the lack of an all-live album in her discography that much more frustrating [IMHO]).
The whole spiel about Taylor's voice is that people were noticing basic problems she had with pitch and staying on-key in concert as far back as before she had her infamous run-in with Kanye West at the 2009 VMAs. It raised the whole issue about how much she relied on Autotune and other vocal-enhancing studio gizmos, though in all fairness she is far from being the only one to use them. She just got all the flack for doing it because of the CD sales and sold-out concerts.
I want to make very clear that I am not bashing Taylor. But I do think that if she is going to continue on as a singer, she really needs to work at improving her voice in concert. Autotune may work in the studio, but not onstage. If she can do that one important thing, then I think she'll be around for a long time.

I was googling "best singer there is" and came across this Urban Dictionary listing that cracked me up ;D
1. Taylorbot 26 up, 6 down
Anyone (usually a tween girl between the ages of 11 and 16) who blindly obsesses over Taylor Swift's music without realizing how piss poor she sings live, the fact she's NOT country at all, lacks talent, doesn't even look all that pretty, that almost all her songs are about boys and boy problems (which is probably why they obsess over her so much), and that she is just NOT a good singer and is highly overrated. Taylorbots will vigorously defend their precious little star and viciously attack (or try to attack) anyone that says or implies anything negative about her, even if they are just giving their honest opinion. Taylorbots usually use horrific grammar and spelling and usually will accuse someone who doesn't like Taylor of being jealous, dumb, deaf, retarded, or anything of that nature. They also frequently tell them to "go get a life," as if they don't already have one. That is about the best that they can do. Most Taylorbots think that Taylor Swift is the BEST singer there is, all too brainwashed and blind to realize that there are MANY other artists that are FAR better than her.
Intelligent person: Taylor Swift sounds horrible live, and she's definitely NOT country. Taylorbot: OMFG, yes she CAN sing bitch!! wtf u must be deaf!! ur just jealos bc u sound like shit!! And she is 2 country! y do u think shez on cmt and they play her on country radio??? go get a life loser!!! Intelligent person: Uh...right. (turns on some REAL country music, like Merle Haggard, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams, Waylon Jennings, etc.)
