The obituary list in Hollywood just got longer yesterday, with word that British-born director Tony Scott, who, among other things, directed the 1986 blockbuster TOP GUN and 2004's MAN ON FIRE, jumped off of the Vincent Thomas Bridge into L.A. Harbor. He was only 68. More details here: www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-tony-scott-20120820,0,398891.story

Never saw any of his movies but wasn't Man On Fire the "Blue Bayou" movie?

Yes, MAN ON FIRE (which, incidentally, was a remake of a 1987 movie of the same name, based on an A.J. Quinnell novel) had "Blue Bayou" featured in the film, though not on the soundtrack--appropriately given that Linda's version has a Mexican vibe to it, and the film is set in Mexico.
