All this reminds me of something that Hollywood has lost in its zeal to make the special effects, stunts, and comic-book theatrics of its films bigger and more bad-a** than ever, and that's the ability a lot of films had in just plain telling stories that people could lose themselves in.
RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, though some will argue contributed to this trend in Hollywood, at the very least had some of that storytelling passion, primarily because Spielberg is just one of those directors who still likes to tell stories. I wish Hollywood would go get some advice from that director whose net wealth equals that of numerous small countries.
