I don't understand the L.R.- Topic channel on You Tube? I'm subscribed to it and with over 5k subscribers you'd think the copy-write nazi's would stay away from it, since it's supposed to be an auto generated Y.T. channel. But just now and about a week ago they posted some live stuff that immediately got yanked! Linda's live concert at Reunion Arena Dallas last week and some live stuff I've never seen before, just now! Anybody know what's going on? I mean if Y.T. is auto posting this stuff, shouldn't it have the green light?

Welcome Tex to the forum!!!! I am not sure what the "LR - Topic Channel on YouTube" is. I do not subscribe to YouTube. I join very few sites. Of course present company excepted. So you have to join YouTube and then separately subscribe to the Linda Channel? eddiejinnj

No Eddie, you don't have to have an account or be subscribed, subscription just informs you when there's an update to the account. It shows like there's like 6 new songs or updated albums or videos and you go to check them out and you can see an album cover or artwork but minutes after posting "video missing, sorry about that". This posting showed some new live stuff and artwork that I think a lot of you guys would have liked but maybe never seen before!
The channel name is "Linda Ronstadt - Topic". It's just a convenient place for all her albums plus many random playlists!

I've posted this link many times before. youtube seems particularly anal about copyrighted material or people who have had many infractions for such on their site or even the quality of a video. Could be any number of reasons.
Auto-generated topic channels
YouTube has auto-generated channels of trending and popular videos that are created by algorithms. On these channels, you'll see a notice in the "About" section that they've been auto-generated by YouTube.
YouTube's auto-generated channels have "Topic" as a suffix — like Surfing - Topic. Just like user channels, you can subscribe to these auto-generated topic channels and stay updated on new videos.
Common questions about auto-generated channels
How does YouTube determine when to create an auto-generated channel?
An auto-generated channel is created when YouTube algorithmically identifies a topic to have a significant presence on the site. If a topic doesn't have an auto-generated channel, it may be because: •There are only a few videos on the topic. •There aren't many watch views for videos in this topic. •The videos in the topic don't meet our quality threshold.
How does YouTube auto-generate channels?
YouTube algorithmically determines the central topics in a video and then uses that information to develop great collections of videos for any topic of interest. These channels don't convey any editorial opinion on the part of YouTube.
How do I get my channels or videos to show up in an auto-generated channel?
You don't need to do anything except follow the normal best practices for discovery of a video: Have a really good title and description. Learn more about making your channel and content more discoverable in the Creator Academy.
Remember to focus on quality of tags rather than the quantity. And as always, don't try to mislead users — that's a violation of YouTube's Community Guidelines.
How does this page differ from a search results page?
An auto-generated channel presents a collection of videos about a singular subject. When the same term can have multiple interpretations ("Chicago" = city; musical; movie; musical band), the auto-generated channel reflects one interpretation of that term. The term might have multiple channels. Auto-generated channels also provide: •The ability to subscribe and get regular updates about this topic in your YouTube feed •A way to find other channels related to this topic •More context about this topic from Wikipedia or other sources

The above link is a good outline of how youtube works but it is hard to say which infraction a particular video might have committed. I think they have an auto-generated and an auto-removal logarithm.

The Reunion Arena files appear on the videos page.
Go to videos, at the bottom of the page is a "Load More" button. Keep pressing it until they appear.

At least in this country it says "this video has been removed" but it might be visible in Australia?

I just figured out that anything that say's "LIVE" in the title automatically gets yanked! The artwork remains but no music. Only one live album works and that's "Linda and Dolly Live at the San Francisco Boarding House"

This one is still with us, so far:There are many more with LIVE in the title that come up so there must be another factor.
