Very sorry to read that here. Along with Linda, Emmylou and Maria she was one of my favourites in the 70s though my fandom was limited to A Stone's Throw Away - Wild Child never did it for me. But all was redeemed with The Way It Is so two out of three is a good track record (pardon the puns). Face of Appalachia is not only one of my favourite songs it has also been my 'go to' track for years to see how a new pair of speakers sound - the combo of the high banjo and the bass and drums when they come in is a good test IMO.
I thought she had a fantastic voice and wish she had done more and found greater success though I did once read somewhere how she liked being a backing singer more than occupying centre stage. Her's is a small legacy in terms of output but a big one in terms of quality.
