Mens Health magazine has a "Hottest Women List" as voted on by it's readers. Linda came in at #93 - say what!!! She was right behind Dolly Parton at #92.
Jennifer Anniston was #1, with Raquel Welch #2 and Marilyn Monroe #3. Nothing against Anniston, but no way #1 in my book.
Even though Linda didn't have a "Raquel Welch" type body - not that she had a bad body - I would have had her top 5, if not number 1. In her prime, one of the most beautiful and sexy women ever from the neck up. I'll bet if this poll had been done in the seventies, she would have been at or near the top.
THOSE EYES AND THOSE LIPS - WHEW!!!!!!!!!!

Seeing Linda on the list was a pleasant surprise. However, some of the other rankings are a bit dubious. Farrah Fawcett only ranked #31 behind the likes of Kim Kardashian, Megan Fox and Carmen Electra!!

If I were to make an all time trashiest list; Kim (especially) Megan and Carmen would be way up there!

Seeing Linda on such a list at all is, in my opinion, a miracle, given how much the press has made fun of her weight for the last twenty years. I always though that at her 1970s peak Linda was a very beautiful person, not just on the outside but also on the inside; she had such a good heart, however bruised she may have made it seem in the songs she sang. It's one of the many things that I think made us fans of hers. And she still has those things today; she has aged gracefully, whether or not the rest of the world thinks so.

is there a copy of that list somewhere? Glad to see Linda made the list and she's still a thought when it comes to sexiness and glamour! Raquel, I agree, she had a smokin' hot body. can't argue there. I don't get the Anniston hype either. but a lot of men I've spoke to do like her a lot. she's got that girl next door appeal.. but so did Linda. I agree with the "trashiest list too" My b'f says about Kim.. pretty face.. but that ASS is just waaay too big. LOL

Thanks for the link.. Linda's specific entry: "93. Linda Ronstadt Few women could catch your eye—and, for that matter, your ear—in the ’70s quite like Linda Ronstadt. Nicknamed both the “First Lady of Rock” and the “Queen of Rock,” at the height of her career, the 10-time Grammy winner became a fixture on the covers of magazines like Rolling Stone, Newsweek, and even Time. She followed her pop, punk, and folk rock success with a stint on Broadway—winning a Tony award for her role in 1981’s The Pirates of Penzance. But while her stage presence showed a tantalizing knack for reinvention, her sex appeal—much to our relief—remained as steady as her six-string."

She would definitely be in the top 10-20 if this poll were taken anywhere from 1970-1985. There were also a lot of beautiful women back then and many who carried over for decades like Sofia Loren, Ann Margaret, Liz Taylor, etc.
Either way, great fun that she is even listed. and top 100 is pretty high up on a list like this.

Linda would probably be laughing her butt off at the absurdity of such a list...

Quote by rob: Or she'd probably just figure that if placing her name in there gets a magazine to sell a few copies for attention, she can live with it. I doubt being on Mr. Blackwell's Fashion Hit List in '78 caused her any sleepless nights either. Quote by dianna: And, as I've said, no mention about her weight...thank goodness.
