Are you priming us up for the next Trio release? Know something we don't?

I know nothingk! In fact, if there's not news on the Trio release by the end of this month, I may remove that information from the website.
I was just doing some office cleaning and ran across these newspaper articles. I don't remember if a fan sent them to me or if I bought them on ebay. Probably a fan as I don't usually buy clippings.
They were with a bunch of stuff that superfan Harold W sent me, but these are Nashville newspapers and he is not a Nashville denizen.

I am told that the TRIO collection is not cancelled.
This will be a release from RockBeat Records.
But I am told no further details, and their website does not have it listed as a future release.

Yes, they were supposed to commemmorate the 25 year anniversary of Trio.
But here we are at 25 years, 3 months already. Maybe they should have started earlier. Possibly they are having trouble securing the rights to the unreleased songs.

I'd not heard of Rockbeat Records but have checked out their website. They look kind of "low rent" so if they do release it I'm not holding out much hope for a deluxe packaged set!
This album deserves special treatment for its anniversary release

Still no news on the TRIO release. However, CD Universe had a new listing for a new Linda Ronstadt album on Rockbeat Records: Heart Like a Wheel --- to be issued October 30th.
Why we need another version of Heart Like a Wheel at this time I don't know. You'd think they'd get better profits off the TRIO release, which would have some tunes that have not been previously released. Seriously, they are going to have to have some bonus tracks to sell many more copies of Heart Like a Wheel.

There are two bonus cuts on this release. The original album had 10 songs. This version adds: You're No Good (mono mix) When Will I Be Loved (mono mix) !!!

Well, if you don't have a "stereo" I suppose the mono mix might sound better, it not being split into two channels.
Whoopie pie.
Personally, there are enough great live versions of both of these songs that digitally mastered, cleaned up bonus cuts of this sort would have been more of an enticement.

Quote by richwar:
Alternately, they could try unearthing what was actually left off of the recording sessions for that album, or do as the Australian import label Raven did when they re-released Linda's four Capitol CDs in 2009 and 2010, and contain bonus cuts that had not been heard much (if at all) before ("She's A Very Lovely Woman"; "Can It Be True?"; "He Darked The Sun"; "Living Like A Fool" [the last two from the Free Creek sessions Linda did in New York in July 1969]).
