I would like to see Linda and the Eagle perform one more time before Linda retires for good and the Eagle think about retiring.
Is that by any chance into the works ?

I'd love to see that happen, too. Unless Linda really wants to do it, though, I kind of doubt it happening.

Well, since we are "just chatting," I might note that it was nice to see Linda make a verrrry brief appearance in the new Muppet movie. Well, sort of......when Kermit et al. were walking through what was portayed as the old Muppet studio, which was in a very run down state, the camera panned over a wall displaying photos of the Muppets with various guest stars. The photo most prominantly visible was a picture from Linda's appearance on the old Muppet show.

that's so cool. I've recently begun buying the Muppet Show DVD box sets and am thoroughly enjoying reliving my childhood!
Her appearance is fantastic on the show and I love this version of "When I Grow Too Old To Dream"

Linda missed a golden opportunity to be a lead-in act on the recent Eagles world tour (not that the opportunity was offered).
However, an astute manager might have arranged such a reunoin and the resulting exposure would have raised Linda's profile world wide. The downside of such an arrangement would have ment that Linda would have had to revisit the music contemporary that part of her career in order to meet both the Eagles and their fans expectations.
This is not something that Linda would even consider doing for the reasons she has stated over the last 10-15 years or so. Secondly, and most unfortunately, Linda is probably the only major recording artist in the world to retire without doing a farewell world tour.

I think she could always shoehorn some favorites in from that particular time frame. When she performed out here in L.A. five and a half years ago, she did a fair amount of her hits ("Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me"; "Blue Bayou", etc.) as brilliantly as she had ever done them; and "Desperado", of course, is so eminently associated with both her and her old band. The issue is her voice; she has said that she doesn't feel she has the power she once did, and to expose that to her fans wouldn't be fair to them, nor, for that matter, to her or her favorite bunch of desperados.
