How does one become a "Full Member"? It says I'm a "New Member," when in reality I was a member of the old forum since 2005. (And, if you want to be precise about it, I actually was a member back in the days of "hoops, bangs, and earrings" if anyone gets that reference!

I'm not quite sure what the benchmark is for posts to become designated as a Full Member, but it's probably a nice round number like "50" or "100". Tony would likely know more about this than I would.

I did not know what the ranking meant, so I checked. Here are the default settings for the board:
New Member- less than 50 posts Junior Member- 50 to 99 posts Full Member- at least 100 posts Senior Member- at least 250 posts God- at least 500 posts
I changed the default settings so that you are now a Junior Member with 20 posts and a Full Member with 50 posts.
So you can't just join up. You have to join the conversation.
I don't like these labels (Junior, Full, Senior, God)--- does anyone have suggestions for better names?

So, from your question, Tony, I assume you can alter/change the settings to come up with customized names for this Forum? These are just suggestions... What's New? I am! - less than 50 posts Desperado - 50 to 99 posts The Fast One -- at least 100 posts The Tattler - at least 250 posts Ruler of My Heart - at least 500 posts Again, just suggestions.

I like the idea of relating them to Linda's tunes....I'll get my thinking cap on!

I like the idea of Linda-related ranks also. We are not limited to 5 ranks. The table has 11 slots in it.

That's a cute idea (using Linda's songs) and good songs ! Perhaps a zero post member rank, should be "I keep it hid."

That's a cute idea (using Linda's songs) and good songs ! Perhaps a zero post member rank, should be "I keep it hid." Dianna, that's cute. Speaking of those who "keep it hid," it seems to me, if I recall correctly, that people created names to be able to sign in and post. Here, it seems there are people who sign in willy-nilly as "GUEST" and the board, especially "The War Room," is starting to proliferate with people only ID'd as "GUEST." There are times when I am not logged in, and the site will prompt to enter a code to allow me to post without logging in. But since I have an I.D., I just go "Log in" and in a few seconds have my screen name. Tony and Erik, is there some way to at least have them identified as "Guest 1754" or "Guest 7426" or such so that there is some differentiation. I am just afraid this is setting things up for a ) SPAMMERs, and b) potential flames (particularly in "The War Room".) Those are my two cents.

Quote by Rick:
It would seem to be a great idea, because I've thought that all these so-called GUEST entries are, at best, fly-by-nighters, and, yes, possibly would-be spammers at worst. I don't know if that can be done here, however; and if it can, I think I'll leave it in Tony's hands.
