wow and I think that the photo has been printed from that distance. I know there may be more than one pic and/or versions of this same photo ie: being cropped closer etc. but I have never seen a German shepherd in this photo/session. eddiejinnj

Same clothing minus some jewelry (put away for safe keeping) and same background, same look. I would imagine they would do a photo shoot first before everyone got grubby playing Frisbee and chasing dogs. I had always hoped a better quality video would show up on youtube as this one is distorted. Linda is so cute in the photo from that day I can only imagine how cute the video really is. It also happens to be one of my top ten Ronstadt songs. What a great time period that was!!! Ah, to be young again. What I love about Baby You've Been On My Mind is the use of an instrument that mimics the conch shell: (listen at 1:20 on the Ronstadt video)Tell me you can't hear that in the song. Also in The Dolphins. That sound ties the song and the video by the ocean together.

Thanks for all of the photos. I am amazed ...so many I have never seen before!!!! It is amazing how many keep popping up online. I grab them when I can and when I get enough post them. Many are from photo sessions previously posted but different vantage points. I know some of the same ones slip in but it is too time consuming to go back through all the posts to double check. I am waiting for the day the family might post some "normal" stuff. I like everyday photos from amateurs the best.

Her look in some of these pics just melts my heart. What a shame her genes were not passed along to another generation.

Her look in some of these pics just melts my heart. What a shame her genes were not passed along to another generation. You mean that pouty lower lip (like Elvis and Ricky Nelson)? Those shoulders that are straight out instead of slopping down? That head that crowns up in the back? The fact that she always seemed younger than her years? And of course those rare eyes? I'll bet there's some doppelgangers out there (but none of them can probably carry a note, and that's why you never heard of them).

No biological children that we "know" of or that is public. But that would be her call to make.

I get that I look like somebody else all the time. Each living being/life is unique and different. Somebody could look like Linda but probably can't belt those notes or sing so emotionally as only she can. eddiejinnj

I always thought that the cub scout uniform fit Linda well other than the sleeves. They look fine. I mean, for me, they would bug me. I would feel like they needed to be pulled down. eddiejinnj

The first time I saw Linda in concert back in 1977 she wore that Cub Scout uniform.
Killer.

I'm green, Rich!!!! Wish I was old enough at the time . I began my Linda career journey from the late 1976 GH TV ads. Ran and got it and been hooked ever since. I first saw her in april 1980. eddiejinnj

I saw her in 1980, too, Eddie. So we saw the same tour! I still remember the black fishnet hose with a red bow clipped to her thigh she wore that night in Ames, Iowa, for the Mad Love tour.

I know that Linda is probably the most modest person in pop music, female or otherwise, but I guess I don't understand why she doesn't think she is beautiful. She is very beautiful and photogenic in a very naturalistic way, which, along with her voice, is one of many things that her female peers admire about her. She was always completely herself, whether she did the Great American Songbook, rustic C&W, rock and roll, or the Mexican mariachi music.

Like you said she is modest but not stupid.

I named one of my rescue cats after "that look." His name is Doe-boy. Been difficult keeping the bandana on his head and the earrings look funky on him.

This is not a wardrobe malfunction... but it looks like it was windy so maybe there was an updraft. Out of curiosity.. I know Linda is a petite woman but during the time around when this photo was taken she had slimmed down even more so than her waif like figure during Heart like a Wheel/Prisoner/Hasten/ Simple Dreams era.. I noticed this on the album cover of living in the USA.. the weight loss was shocking even. I don't recall but did she do this on purpose or was it her busy schedule. I remember reading her legs turned black and blue from vitamin deficiency and she suffered from anorexia.. but she never went in to detail. I wonder if the eating disorder was made up by the media or if she really did suffer.. mind you, this was right before we lost Karen Carpenter....

That's all news to me. Linda has often struggled with her weight. I've always considered her to be youthfully skinny but "large boned" like most healthy German women lol and fully expected her to become plus sized as she aged. I can't ever imagine her not wanting to eat or having anorexia. In the early days she said she went to a "fat farm" in Tucson I think. Just for a short while. Anyone who eats the processed crap sold in stores these days will be over weight sooner or later and shouldn't sweat their looks. They are in good company. She always managed to stay quite attractive even at her low points of health and looks wonderful for a woman about to be 70 years old. Sure hope she is pursuing alternative medical treatment for her Parkinson's. If she can hold on for awhile it could become reversible.

Thickest ankles of any woman on earth?

I removed that comment because it might be taken the wrong way. I will say however Linda herself commented she has an extra bone in her ankles. My Grandma (German) also had the same genetic disposition, was also a Cancer woman with a similar personality to Linda. It is a genetic thing, not a health thing in Linda's case. I have always assumed it to be a German or Slavic trait. Personally I had always wished for thicker ankles as I had one heck of a time ice skating as a kid when all of my friends had no problem. To me it is a strength and not a negative.

Hahah I just noticed that cub scout uniform is too short for her arms, but I still love it on her.
Linda's body style is long in the legs and arms, short in her torso, which is why any weight she gains ends up there, yet her legs always look somewhat slim. I have the same body style, altho I'm two inches taller than her.
If we gain 1 pound, that's like 4 sticks of butter added to our waist, and it shows, even moreso in pictures... It's very difficult to manage your weight at this height and body style--especially as we get older.
