Also won’t Bad Bunny’s be mostly streaming?? Not the same in my book …. Pure sales beat streaming!
I think Linda would have sold more CDs of CdmP when the remastered editions were produced in 2016 but unfortunately I don’t think there is any desire to recertify for RIAA purposes.

As a UK citizen, this is a monumental change for us. We are mourning as a nation and its a huge loss, its all very sad.
The Queen had an amazing reign, 70 years and during that time has seen so much change - politically, socially, economically ... She has been a constant source of strength and leadership and judging from the comments made from past politicians and world leaders she has provided political advice and direction (even though she has no political power) and shown immense diplomatic skills on the home and world stage.
But lets not forget that she has lived to a grand age 96 years and had the most wonderful life - which I'm sure she very much enjoyed and was thankful for.
It will be interesting to see the change that will come from our new King, Charles III
"Hay Unos Ojos" ( I checked the "Canciones" album and it is "Ojos" but someone made a typo on the title for YouTube so it looks like Ho-Jos (Howard Johnson's!) --

We need the remastered CdmP concert released …
Vinyl versions of CdmP, Mas Canciones and Frenesi I’m not sure will happen. Surely it would have made sense to issue these when the remastered CDs were released ??
I have them all on vinyl and yes Frenesi and Mas Canciones cost me $100 or so each and neither are great in terms of quality ….

I’m sure these clips are made by the Irving Azoff / Iconic Artist Group to promote CdmP - I’m pleased something is being done to promote Linda’s music.
I’m not sure how they are made but they are obviously based on the album cover. I’m sure there could be a bit more movement though! But I guess what they have put out requires the least financial output …
I keep hoping one of Linda’s tunes will be picked up and used in prominent way in a major film or animated feature to expose her work to a wider audience. But for now I guess these clips are intended for fans only.

I was very sad when ONJ died, but it seems that despite her sunny disposition she's been suffering and in pain, very much so in the last few weeks. I'm pleased that she is no longer hurting.
Apparently she said quite recently that she'd accomplished more than she ever thought in her lifetime and that she wasn't afraid to die - but she's left a huge hole in the lives of her family, friends and fans.
Linda, Barbra and Olivia have been with me since my early teens .... I'm trying not to think about losing anyone else for a while.

I love the film Nashville … according to Wikipedia Ronee’s debut album has a duet with Linda on a track called Bluebird. I can’t find this on my streaming services can anyone verify?
I can’t see the video above, it says its not available ??

I really need something / someone new to really get into .... but finding it difficult to form an attachment. The only "new" artist I've gotten on board with in the last few years is Orville Peck.

Its such a shame that the albums of the 1990s didn't sell as well or weren't as appreciated as they should have been by the general public. Linda's voice was simply incredible at this time - strong, clear and pristine. Looking back I voted for Frenesi which I would still count as one of my most favourite albums by any artist, but Winter Light is a definite masterpiece too (and I love Mas Canciones, FLH, DTTOIL, WW .... )

I think Linda only toured the U.K. once in her entire career, very early on in 1976. That had to have some impact on her success here.
She had pockets of success, particularly with singles such as Don’t Know Much, Somewhere Out There etc and CLARHLTW, What’s New, Trio, plus GH1 & 2 all charted and sold well I believe. She also had few U.K. tv appearances and in the days of limited channels and no real access to overseas tv we will have missed some of her great US chat show appearances such as Tonight Show …
A lot of people here don’t know her name but know hit tunes, which I find interesting.
In the United States, on Friday, June 3, most PBS stations will be broadcasting "Joe Papp: In Five Acts" on its "American Masters" series. The trailer shows clips from "Pirates of Penzance" --
And then I found this bit:
This is what I meant to say I’d watched 100s of times !
