I remember this extensive article because of the quote about "Long Long Time". eddiejinnj

Quote by Linda from Goldmine interview:
This was one of those areas where I wish Linda had more confidence in herself, in being able to play acoustic guitar, coming as she does from a folk music background. The times where she did play onstage, she was of course very shy and perhaps even more self-conscious than normal, but she did know how to play, in a finger-picking style. I think she really could have been really good at it.

I agree, Erik. I think she really could have gotten used to it on stage and make it a prop like Emmylou does to reinforce the beat vibe of the music. It might have actually helped her onstage persona and since she wasn't much of a dancer it could have increased the overall cohesion of the band. Some genres she may not have needed this as much but overall, yes!!!! eddiejinnj

Linda standing there with the mic stand singing her heart out is what comes to mind when I think of Linda Ronstadt. I don’t think she ever needed anything more than that. Her stage presence I never thought was lacking in anyway. Authentic Linda Ronstadt.

I didn't say that she had to have a guitar for every song or for the whole song. There are times when Linda has looked lost during instrumental breaks. To be honest, I think she would have had more credence during the singer/songwriter period, especially since she has regrets about it. We all have opinions and that is cool.
