I don’t agree that “Get Closer” is Linda’s “hardest rock album.” I think “Mad Love” is.

I don’t agree that “Get Closer” is Linda’s “hardest rock album.” I think “Mad Love” is. I agree Rob and I’ve seen it said it print a couple other articles through the years and don’t get. There is nothing hard rocking on Get Closer, much was 50-60’s retro early R&R/R&B but hardly what I would call “Rock” music. Mad Love was Linda’s hardest rocking album by far but most critics are hung up on Linda doing a “New Wave” album, which I wouldn’t call Mad Love at all. Sure it tips its hat to it, but it is hardly a new wave punk album in the true sense. I think maybe the critics that call Get Closer her hardest rocking album are afraid of calling Mad Love a “Rock” for being corrected with “no, it’s new wave/punk when in fact, hardly.

Well, now we know that Linda is the "Queen of Cover Rock," if not the "Queen of Rock."
