Yes, he did indeed direct three epsiodes for Gilligan's Island in 1964-65; and six more for The Twilight Zone (including the famous "Nightmare At 20,000 Feet"). Even though compared to Spielberg he was more of a "journeyman", Donner did direct more than a few really good films, including the 1976 horror film classic THE OMEN, and what I think is the best big-budget "comic book" epic, 1978's SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE.
