I saw this too yesterday. Quite sad, given that WKRP was often quite funny, and you didn't exactly have any TV shows about radio stations, let alone rock and roll radio stations, proliferating.

I couldn't imagine Frank Bonner being 79. I thought he was born in the late 40s rather than in 1942. Eeriely, his death from Lewy body dementia was said can be mistaken for Alzheimers and Parkinson's. Could it also be related to Progressive Supranuclear Palsy? According to the information on the illness. it's a protein which is deposited in the brain and which causes similar problems to Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, but it's unclear what causes the deposits.
But, Frank was a pretty good funnyman as well as a director. His death reminds us the last of the greatest generation, along with the first of the baby boomers, continue to depart our world. And that we sometimes take them for granted in thinking they will always be around.
RIP Mr. Frank Bonner

Lewy Body Dementia is a terrible disease. I know that the Alzheimer's Association, despite its name, helps people with such disorders as Lewy Body Dementia, too, in addition to Alzheimer's. I think people with Lewy Body Dementia decline very rapidly, which, thank the heavens, Linda has not.

I remembered hearing Parkinson's in the wake of his death. Linda's health hasn't declined as fast, thank God, but with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, there's no telling when her health will start to decline at a more rapid rate. I watched some videos on Youtube about patients with PSP and I had to stop watching, because I felt so sad for some of the stories I was hearing on the people with the illness. I looked it up when Linda said her illness was PSP rather than Parkinson's. I keep Linda in my prayers that her health continues to hold out, but I know time is an enemy and not a friend, where Linda is concerned.
