I was really happy to see that Terry Gross had interviewed Linda for the NPR program "Fresh Air." It is a great interview. The thread, however, just says, "nice interview" without identifying it as being from ABC's World News with Diane Sawyer or in a newspaper, etc. For those who might want to download it to their iPods or to their computers to keep, perhaps burn to a CD, here is the link -- Link to Linda's NPR 'Fresh Air" interview If you follow the line for Linda Ronstadt to the right, it says "Free." Click on that Tab/Button and the file will download.

This is a repeat of the interview Terry Gross did with Linda upon the publication of her book. This is the interview in which Terry Gross brought up that Janis Joplin got so “into” her music on stage that she would orgasm and asked Linda about that. When I saw Linda interviewed live by Patt Morrison, Linda voiced her displeasure at that line of questioning by Terry Gross.

At least the first 5 minutes is new lol Rob, right. It didn't say in the promo that it was a rebroadcast. Yes, Terry Gross recorded a new introduction to talk about the release of "Sound of My Voice," and then it was the old interview. I actually loved how she talked about Nelson Riddle and working with him and going into the recording studio AFTER Nelson Riddle to record a track for the album "For Sentimental Reasons."

I did listen to it again and it didn't seem so outrageous. Maybe I am getting old lol. I picked up things that I somehow missed before so it is a good idea to take another listen. More appreciation of Terry and Linda both.

Rob — I am repeating what I saw Linda herself say live when she was 10 feet from me. Linda was offended by it.

Linda will be interviewed tonight on Fresh Air on your local NPR station
It can also be streamed here. Not posted yet but should show up by this afternoon.
www.npr.org/programs/fresh-air
I heard the advertisement and it mentioned her new memoir Feels Like Home so I am assuming it is a new interview and not the last one by Terry Gross years ago.

In 2013, Ronstadt revealed that she has Parkinson's disease and can no longer sing. Ronstadt has a new memoir called Feels Like Home: A Song for the Sonoran Borderlands. It's an exploration of her Mexican roots, with recipes of some of the dishes she grew up with. We listen back to her 2013 interview with Terry Gross…
