After Linda sings a song it has been sung. You know what I mean.

Amen. And when she sings it good that's as good as it will ever get especially on songs that seem to choose her like Long Long Time and any other number of her now signature classics.

As I remember Linda telling it, she shared a cab with Jerry Jeff Walker and he mentioned a song by his friend Gary White that would be great for her. And the rest is history.

Once again this forum (whomever is having problems with punctuation i will gladly trade computers-this stupid thing just deleted an entire post) corrected a persistent misconception of mine. For some reason I had it in my head the Gary White wrote both LLT and Louise. Of course, this thread, having piqued my curiosity, caused to me to correct my erroneous thinking. As is undoubtedly known by all Paul Seibel wrote Louise but Gary White sang harmony with Linda on the record.
