It was on May 5, 1861 that the populace of the Mexican city of Puebla defeated a French military battalion during France's occupation of that country. Since then, of course, it has been known as Cinco De Mayo. Because of who's in the White House at this time, however, I also know it as "F**k You Donald Trump Day.
So here's my musical four-play for this day.
"Adonde Voy" (Linda)
"It's Your World Now" (The Eagles) (for its Mariachi flavoring):
"Mexican Divorce" (Nicolette Larson) (she smuggled Linda in to help on backing vocals):
"Pablo" (Lindi Ortega, from her 2018 album Liberty):

On one of The Chieftain's albums, there is a song sung by Linda about the atrocities committed by US forces against a Mexican force of Irish immigrants to Mexican during the US-Mexican War. US felt they should be American soldiers (even though many European refugees also emigrated to other New World countries, not just the US - Argentina also comes to mind). Linda's German great-grandfather (I believe) is another example.
