Hi,
I'm new to this Forum and very glad to have found it.
I first bought Linda's Simple Dreams album in 1977 as a 15 year old and immediately fell in love with her! I played the record over and over again and her rendition of Poor, Poor Pitiful Me and Blue Bayou blew me away. I was hooked.
In February 1979 as a seventeen year old I attended her concert at the MCG in Melbourne and remember how sexy she was! I have newspapers from the day after with Linda in a leopard skin top and mini skirt! It was almost more than a naïve young boy could take!
I'm interested to find out if there are many photos and even videos from Linda's Aussie tour? Can anyone steer me in the right direction? In the next few days I'll try to scan a copy of the Sunday Press front cover from 25th Feb 1979.
Cheers David

Welcome to the forum, David. My first Linda album was GH Vol 1 as a 13 yo. I had to buy Simple Dreams and return it like 3 times because of skips (of course I wanted perfect versions of Linda's songs). It is a iconic album in both content and aesthetically. Kosh deserved the Grammy for the album pkg. In our thread "Linda Ronstadt pics" I know I have seen her in the outfit you describe or close to it. It is a thread with a lot in it so you may have to search a little. Otherwise, a few other members will probably give you feedback to other specific sites. Eddiejinfl

Welcome to the forum. You're really lucky that you got to see Linda in concert when she was at the peak of her popularity. I wasn't born until 1978, and lived in a small town so I never got to see her live. I'm grateful for classic rock stations which introduced me to her music. Blue Bayou, It's so easy and That'll be the day were the first songs I heard and I instantly became a fan.

Those three songs got me hooked too!
I love the avatar you are using. I stared at THAT photo for ages when I bought Simple Dreams!!
