I wanted to share a brief Linda mention on the excellent HBO documentary on Pete Hamill and Jimmy Breslin. Pete was known to enjoy the company of beautiful and famous women, and a friend of Pete's mentioned him walking into her home accompanied by none other than Linda. Linda was in notable company, Pete had spent some time dating Jackie Kennedy and Shirley MacLaine also....

When Linda was doing press for “Hummin’ to Myself,” I believe it was on “Piano Jazz With Marian McPartland,” Linda said that her friend Pete Hamill introduced her to the song “Just Tell Him I Said Hello.”

Didn't both Linda Ronstadt and Pete Hamill figure prominently in the documentary film "The Return of Ruben Blades" from around 1985.

Linda was in notable company, Pete had spent some time dating Jackie Kennedy and Shirley MacLaine also.... Watched the documentary tonight - there's even a group photo of Linda with Pete arriving at the house, presumably for Thanksgiving Dinner. Now have to try to figure out how to do a screen capture from the TV. Plus Linda Ronstadt is listed in the closing credits. |
