That the Eagles decided to carry on after Glenn passed away, by shanghaiing his son Deacon and then Vince Gill, is a testimony to their ability to still be doing this, though I'm pretty sure cynics will say that that the lure of the Green $tuff had a lot to do with it too (probably even more so, in the eyes of the aforementioned cynics). The only group of the time that has been around longer (and sometimes you have to wonder how they've endured, with all their legendary debauchery) has been the Rolling Stones.
And while I know she is more focused on other matters related to her condition and the Los Centzoles project in the Bay Area, I wonder how much Linda has been able to keep up with her favorite bunch of desperadoes since her RRHOF induction, which Glenn helped preside over.

I've seen a lot of people saying that this isn't the real Eagles because Glenn Frey is no longer in the group. But realistically, groups change over the years, especially if they last for decades. (I was just reading the liner notes to the latest Asleep at the Wheel album and they have had more than 100 members over the years.) Who better to take over Glenn's role than his son?
I've always considered the original 4 members to be the Eagles. And the first 4 albums were the only Eagles albums. I know they added Don Felder during that time and he was a great addition.
When they added Joe Walsh, to me they were a different group. They evolved and continued to do so.
