Truly shocking, but then he knows more than the rest of us. After all, among other things, he is the heir to the Liquid Paper; he pioneered music videos; and, last but by no means least, he wrote the song that put Linda on the map.

Doubtless, he knows a lot more than the rest of us about the music business. However at this point, I am not getting into electronica. If anything, I am going the opposite opposite direction.

Vaporwave is to me nothing more than slowing down a record at a slower speed than is supposed to be played, but I guess in the age of the CD and downloads, it was sort of lost for a little while. I used to play 45s at 33 and 16 on my family's old record player (and even the occasional 78, which were mostly kiddie records) and 33s at 16 r.p.m.'s. It was just something to do when you were a teen in those days though my mom always swore we'd ruin the records and the record player playing records at speeds they weren't meant to be played at. My brother had a stereo system later that had a turn table that slowed down a little, not by much, maybe by 5-10% and it was interesting as it would make the songs longer and change the pitch a little and the keys the songs were in. But, all you would think would be the songs sounded a little slower and if you didn't know what was happening, you'd just think it was one of those days where your mind was playing tricks on you instead of the turn table.
