Rolling Stone magazine put out a list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. I am shocked that 1 of the albums in my cd collection made it! My taste is so unpopular!!! I never even heard of some of these artists. The 1 album in my collection that made the list is:
Joni Mitchell - Court And Spark

The only Ronstadt album that is even on this list is a best of. I say whoever decided this list has awful taste in music.

Since this is from Jann Wenner's publication, you might as well blame him. He still has it in for Linda...Parkinson's or not (IMHO).

I, for one, could care less about Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. They do these lists almost on a regular basis and the album selection usually is made up of their favorite artists and bands. And a few oddball artists and bands to make the readers believe what they're reading is an impartial list. If it were up to me, if I were the editor, I would reject the list on grounds the critics should limited to naming only one album by any artist or band. The first Rolling Stone 500 list had an excessive number of albums by the Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Motown artists, Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, et al. What all that said to me was that the critics could not think of 500 different artists. Could they come up with 1000 or 2000 without an artist or band repeating? Even if they were barred from listing additional albums by the artists and bands, I doubt that they could.
